Version 2 of my spreadsheet is now available.

It should all be accurate, with the possible exception of some of the race data.
If you spot any errors, post them here.

Get it from my all-new-super-hi-tech webpage at:

http://www.geocities.com/transmissionuk

Sorry, I can't post a direct link to the zip file, Geocities don't allow remote hosting. Please don't post a direct link to my file (unless it's on someone else's webserver) since Yahoo/Geocities will nuke my site... again.

Readme is below, the file is for excel and is zipped to 56K.

If you don't have one, you can get an excel viewer from microsoft: http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/xlviewer.aspx

If you don't have a program for zip files, I recommend: http://www.ultimatezip.com/

I've created a spreadsheet containing:

Full race data, including both picked and hardwired stats, plus magnate data.

Full government data

Easter eggs

A list of possible spy missions and the likelihood of them occuring

A full tech list (except for some level zero techs) with descriptions, including Antaran techs and X's.

Printer friendly so you can look stuff up without Alt-tabbing!

***New for v2***

Corrected some mistakes in the race tables (Etheran hardwiring and Humanoid terraforming).

Added Spikey's Ground Combat Matrix

Added a raw data alphabetic list of techs with their type and requirements.

Corrected some typos and other minor errors.

Sad the ground combat is so silly. There are one or two maneuvers to always use, and that's it.

Sigh

Well, you could always use "Attacker Spread Defense" and drag out the combats for multiple turns...great way to generate veteran troops. :)

My latest game has taken a pretty odd turn - everyone is building multiple government centers and supplying troops to planetary defense. I don't think I've been able to complete a single planetary conquest in less than 4 turns - most are lasting around 7, and I've even been driven off several worlds by the ground forces defending them (the last planet so ruined by that time that there was 0 population left for the final two turns of the war for the planet - as soon as I was kicked off that burned out ruin of a depopulated colony, the colony vanished: guess the defending troops packed up and took their toys home). No need to play trick tactics to get these troops experience.
