Besides, someone with a WL of 14 hasn't been following the rules anyway. Why try to enforce one now? ;)

Right-oh. Just checking that you weren't referring to yourself. Coz we all know that you're a hairy bloke. :D

I don't think I'll join a 0-WL club though. The 0 speaks for itself :p

I think there is more need for a WL ++ club - that way the WL-ers can release some pressure amongst themselves. ;)

ER... I think I understand what you're saying, but I need that for the 'flame' effect to work right.

And besides, the 'tag' takes up three lines. NOT worth the trade-off.

I've spent TOO LONG trying to fit in what I have; anything more would be spam.

For your edification, should you be interested, I will now break-down my sig for you.

Deputy Unofficial Official Greeter; Fanfiction Writer

This is the opening line. It contains my title, and a link to my fanfiction. Note that I used text to make it display nicely.

Forum Rules, and Moo3 Forum FAQ, contains additional forum rules

Again, I used Text to get rid of the ugly address.

There are only 10 types of people in the world:

Ah, the fun stuff. First, I have a soiler to generate the customized black background. Then, I have the first part (out of three) required to create the flame effect. The glow is red, with a strength of 40 to help make the 'flames' stronger. I used orange text inside of the glow to help make it even more impressive.

Those who understand binary, and those that don't.:haha:

The closing line contains the :haha: ( :haha: ) smiley to allow for the flame effect. Without it, I would get this:

I know this :

A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That’s why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

PS neilz this little club is a great idea, after I consult my horoscope, check the stars, wait for the planets to allign, call my psychic, divine from the I Ching, reread Psalms (and maybe Revelation too), and ask my Mom I might just apply to join myself.

Well now there's a club of WL O people and a few others, what do we do now? Not that we *have* to do anything but the almost 20 of us should do some club-like things:
Maybe formulate some complex useless set of additional rules, assign a huge list of club officers, create secret greatings, lame attempts at "inside" jokes that we use in GD to be annoying, have a club toproq party (I'll bring my famous toproq salad) what?

I have a different problem - I have so little work to do unless people give me something it means the days are soooooooooo boring. I should probably ask someone to give me some work but hey, that ain't gunna happen!

Unfortunately, code = work code = expanding very boring accounting program, hence my strange preference to rather spend my time here...

Accounting - *Yawn*. You should pay someone to do that:D

Unfortunatly, work=study=education=future. But I'm having a slow time at the moment, so don't worry.

I'm not really into programming, but I'm thinking of taking a course. It appears as if modern physicists can't solve problems anymore without the aid of software. Silly people.

OMG the club page had dropped to page 2 of the OT forum. Not standing for that.

I wasn't sure where to post this so I suppose here'll do.

How much did IG pay for that advert? (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3031487.stm) I bet it cost serious wedge.

<edit> and here's the official e3 expo (http://www.e3expo.com/) website.

I heard HALO PC didn't support co-op

neliz
05-16-2003, 09:22 AM
well, they said so on Ign..

anyway.. am waiting anxiously for GT4 and MGS3

The Wagster
05-16-2003, 09:34 AM
I've never played HALO (no-one I know has an Xbox) but it looks well good.

I had the original GT but didn't like it much as the racing wasn't exciting or accurate - you crash into a wall or another car and it just slows you down a bit. I much prefered Codemasters British Toca Touring Car game as the racing was superb.

MGS rules:D

neliz
05-16-2003, 09:53 AM
toca had some crappy steering.. which doesn't allow you to correct spins etc... it's getting better over the years...

but if you try GT3 Concept.. the feeling of sheer perfection.. that you master the car.. oh boy..

The Wagster
05-16-2003, 09:59 AM
I can't remember ever getting near a spin on original GT, except with 500bhp and crappy tyres.

I went to see the Toca race at Brands Hatch a couple of weeks ago - it was excellent:D I'm going to Silverstone in a couple of weeks to watch that race as well. They also had the US CART series at Brands but that was so incredibly boring I couldn't watch it.

neliz
05-16-2003, 10:16 AM
ah... so someone obviously didn't play GT well enough..

sure, the beginning of the game is easy, with a 60 bhp civic.
(oh yeah, FF cars don't spin, unless you touch the handbrake)
so most cars required to win the game ar 4wd and fr/mr which, even in their most basic of appearances will cause any driver frustration over the control

The Wagster
05-16-2003, 10:33 AM
I'll admit I never got the highest level driving license but that was partly because the racing wasn't very exciting, compared to Toca.

neliz
05-16-2003, 10:52 AM
Well.. that's why I didn't give toca anymore tries.. because toca isn't really the smoothest driver..

I finished DTM (pro race driver?) but that was mainly because:

A: they changed their car handling
B: Doing so, made the game WAY too easy...

Please try GT3 Concept it drives like a dream

The Wagster
05-16-2003, 11:21 AM
DTM (pro race driver?) - Is that the one with a character based story line? If it is then I was disapointed with that as well. It was a bit too easy but I haven't played for ages (moved out, no longer have access to PS2). My brother's got the force feedback steering wheel which is very cool. Also works with WRC.

The Wagster

Indy 500 had too many oval tracks for my liking, I prefer more challenging circuits. I seem to be in a b**** about racing games mood today! Sorry I mean MOOd!:haha:

No, after I registered I wanted to change my login ID. Obispo hates changing the names of people without a good reason and I don't have a good reason.

Therefore, I just abandoned the dscherf login (still at WL:0) and created this login (currently at WL:0 but that may change soon  )...

well.. there are people who run into a wall, get up and run into the wall again..

there are also people who actually see the wall, and try to avoid it.

don't try to influence the wall, that is impossible. Instead try to realize that there is no wall.
