I just discovered it was possible to get the AI to scrap a DEA and replace it with another one of your choice, without having to go through the nightmare of removing the DEA, then returning to place the new one. Just select "replace DEA" and it will remove the selected DEA and replace it with the new one you chose.

I noticed it. :) It's a new feature thanks to the code patch. :p

Yes. I'm pretty sure that was pre-code patch, actually.

Ok, maybe I didn't notice until after the code patch. :haha:

Well, it certainly makes *my* mid-game life a heck of a lot easier - eg when I start having to tear out all those mining/bioharvest DEAs and place some industrial/research ones instead.

I suggested this pre-patch. not sure if I was the first or not, but I LOVE it. it makes all the difference when changing DEAs later in the game. Which I do all the time after my mineral/food surplus changes.

Aye, this has been one the big good changes of the patch. That and the history screen ;)

I didn't notice it pre-patch but it certainly is a usefull feature. I found one of my planets producing 3X more food than it needed (and not exporting it) and 2X minerals.
A few mouse clicks later and I have planets producing more than they did.

Look in the code patch feature thread, it was added and is a most definite improvement.

I use that all the time! Boy I'm glad I didn't start playing until after the patch! ;)

It's been a great boon to my midgame too.
Be nice to be able to sort owned planets by time of colonization.
This would tell planets built by necessity (from early lack of infrastructure & tech). Easier minor micro this way.
Anyone know how to do this. Only thing I can tell is that the sitrep seems to list construction in order of oldest to newest.?.

Hey Ron, I just found that last night myself! Of course I never read everything that was fixed in the patch. Doh :D
I really like locking the military prod. I wondered what that little lock was for :weird: then I found out here
