What determines which ships get sent on Antaran expeditions?

Are obsolete ships available for use? Ships of only a certain mission type?

This has been answered many times before. The computer decides what ships go. It will tend to take recon ships with Research labs over anything else. It chooses from what is in your reserves. So, one thing you could do is to make sure you have only latest tech (warp speed) recon ships in your reserves with Labs on them and you should be fine.

Good info, and usefull to anyone interested in the workings of Antaran Expeditions. As far as accuracy, well, QSI didn't respond. It seems reliable, though. :D
