[OT]Anyone moving to Unreal2? Unreal2-Multiplayer.

That there is going to be MP in Unreal2.....well so he says. XMP i think it is.
Are any clans moving? Or remaining here?:)

Unreal II was one of those titles that nobody buys. Adding MP is a cheap and useless tactic to raise sales.

I have the Unreal Tournaments - both of them, and I tried Unreal I which was a classic, but none the less crappy. I expect the same from Unreal II.

And MP in U-II is an addon to encrease sales. The devs of the game were basically harassed with emails, posts in Unreal fan sites, etc about adding MP(since it was announced that there would be none in U-II).

So they finally caved in under pressure so that more people would buy the game.

I think the point of most games are for sales. You say it like it was a bad thing. The only reason for a company to improve something is if they get something from it - namely money, or something that leads to money, like publicity, ect.

About SP, I can say IMHO U2 gameplay sucks, compared to U1 which was awesome.

Well Unreal2 Multiplayer has XMP. Where you have to battle for planet surfaces or something.
I don't understand the whole idea of XMP, but in my old Computer Games Magazine, it explains it.
