Critical Error

i keep getting a critical error, no matter what i do
i get an error when i play a campain, and when i click on the assault botton on the ladder and then "frigate", the game crashes to desktop with a "bad name index -26/2375".
i tried re-installing few times but it didnt work !
any suggestions ?!

It sounds like there's a problem with the ini file (the index referring to the lines that keep a trace of the campaigns you've played).

look for the map in your maps folder and move it,
find one on net or online off a server and replace it

Or

go into c:\UT\System
and competley move a file called UnrealTournament.ini and User.ini somewhere safe so you can find them later.
When you restart it will put defaults in there place
Might not work but its worth a shot

the 2nd advise worked !, it actually was a map messed up !!
i downloaded a new 1, and replaced it-and it works wonderfully !
