I have a Matrox video card in my computer.

It's got the same specs at the ATI and nvidia cards you require..

It's an amazing card, and able to handle mostly any other games I throw at it...

So my question is: Is Atari going to make a Matrox Patch..

I really like the game, I went out and rented a PS2 and the game, had a blast, but I refuse to move to a different brand of card with the same specs.. I can accept benchmarks, but I can not accept branding.. Although I loved the game for ps2, my pc version went back, and i doubt I will be buying games from your company again... Not just that.. the cards you recommend are the same price around here as a PS2...

And even if I did but games from Atari in the future, could I play them?..

Probably not.

The minute ETM is patched for Matrox, me and my friends will be the first to be in line to buy it..

Until then.. well, all I have to say is that I don't know any person or company that can afford to lose money for dumb mistakes..

If your company can do so, congratulations.

The Matrox cards were not designed for gaming. The card you have may have the same amount of memory, but that does not mean that it has the same specs. The Matrox cards are much more simple in design.

If you want to play any of the newer 3d games made by anyone (not just Atari), you really need to get a gaming video card (GeForce or Radeon will do fine). When it comes to games like this, the video card is by far the most important part of your system.

It may suck as a card, but that is my choice.

I mean, what's the worse that can happen, the textures look like crap, and I say, damn, this card sucks, and I go buy a new one.

Buying the game, then being told I need a specific brand...

I'd rather they patched it for matrox and I decided I hated the card on my own accord..

Heh.

Buying the game, then being told I need a specific brand...

Just so you know, it was listed in the min reqs on the bottom of the box. I remember because I thought it was odd that they would mention specific cards...

Does that video card support HARDWARE T&L?? Thats why I imagine it won't work.....

What is the model of the Matrox card, just curious.

oh yes, it was on the bottom very clearly..

It was my assumption that got me...

I thought any equivalent would do..

Ah well, neither here nor there.

If there is a patch, i'd go buy it, if not, I doubt I will.. no problem anyways, I just rented another PS2, and finished the game.
