ETM + Ari Radeon = Crash on 1º Driving Part

I've an Ati Radeon 7000 Excalibur (64mb) using latest Catalyst drivers ( who works good at fps) hangs on the last minute of the 1º drive part.....
I was using older drivers, but they have awful fps (~5)

Dont know why it happens... but i've tried some drivers and tweaks and nothing works...

Some help ?

Radeon 7x00 cards exhibit visual flaws with the latest Catalyst 3.2 drivers XP v.6307 and 9x v.9088. Although this card is not supported (it's below minimum reqs.), we recommend downloading the previous drivers for XP, 6.13.3276, and for 9x 4.13.7189 from ATI's website:

could u give me a hint on how to make etm work with my audigy 2 ????
It's suposed to make full use of its features... but the game does not sound at all.....
