Has anyone else had any problems with a soundblaster live 5.1?
While playing the game, every sound is played twice, like a severe echo. Very annoying. Not worth playing game like this. Any help is appreciated.

I bought a SoundBlaster Live 5.1 not long after completing the game, but I'm pretty sure I replayed sections of it with the new card without any problems.
Most people who have problems with dodgy sound (particularly in the video clips) found that it was their graphics card drivers that needed replacing, though I can't guarantee this will be the case with you.
You could also try messing with the hardware acceleration settings used by DirectX – or any other sound settings you can think of. But my money would be on it being the graphics card drivers (specifically the OpenGL one) – this has so often proved to be the source of problems of all types.

Yeah, I had the exact same problem w/ echoing.
I have a DAL CardDelux. When I contacted the
official support site, they said it was probably
because my soundcard only had emulated directx
or something and there was nothing they could do.
I really wish there were patches for these games
that had captioning (I'm kinda hard of hearing anyway
and being able to read what people are saying really
helps in general).
