Found this while I was surfing today. (Probably old news)
Heron marked blade (http://www.weaponmasters.com/index.html?ID=939a85210e25d50e43af60eb37ce9791&ITEM=MR1-340&SORT=PRICE_UP&FDX=1&FMAX=10)

Almost looks the way I imagined it...

Oh wow - a second site selling it. Usually people link to museumreplicas.com (http://store.museumreplicas.com/cgi-bin/www11650.filereader?+EN/products/1340). Which, by the by, sells some other (http://store.museumreplicas.com/cgi-bin/www11650.storefront/3f0d460f01477c0227454200c1480579/Catalog/1049) interesting items as well, though it seems Mat's dagger and Perrin's Axe, as well as Rand's belt buckle, have disappeared. :(

(*grins* So yeah, old news, but it's been a while since it last came up, and definitely good to see every so often and to drool over.)

Too bad there´s no scabbard... that would've been nice :)

I was always under the impression that the heron was on the hilt of the sword...after all, wasn't the heron burned onto his palms because he was holding the part of the sword with the heron and it got too hot or something?

I think it may have been on both the hilt and the Blade of the sword on Tam's sword. While on the one he gains later (the dead kings) it's just on the blade as he gets the hilt replaced.

Too bad there´s no scabbard... It does come with one.

The museumreplicas one mentions a part of the sword called a tsuba. What is a tsuba?

ctrl-L, tsuba, arrow up, ctrl-enter: from the blurb of the first google result: "A tsuba is the hand guard mounted on a Japanese sword."

There's also these (http://store.museumreplicas.com/cgi-bin/www11650.storefront/3f0d460f01477c0227454200c1480579/Catalog/1049). Though they aren't quite as impressive as a sword... ;)

Is it still double-posting if your posts are more than 2 years apart?

Theoretically yes, in practise, probably not.

For anybody who wants to get one, my advice is DON't.

I actually bought one of them once. I returned it as the quality is absolutely crappy. the amount of work they put into making that blade is not worth more than $30, nevermind the $300 they used to ask for it.

Yeah, and the tsuba just made it look ugly. No blade should have quillions and a tsuba.

The balance of the blade is also a bit off, though I appreciated that the blade was ready for use rather than blunted.

That would be freaking sweet Jak, but highly unlikey, unless you just happen to have a few hundred thousand dollars just lying around, in which case, could I get your address?
