Unpacking umod files (Help please!)

I didn't think it would be read much in the other thread, so I made this one. :bulb:

Well anyways, I dled UT (hey, I lent the cd to a friend :weird: ) and I installed the patch, and I can't connect to internet games. As I've seen in other threads, people say that you need the bonus packs installed, so I dled them but I can't install them because they aren't recognized as an executable format, but are instead opened with the 'Open With...' format. So now I was looking for a umod unpacker but they are all for mac/linux or whatever, and windows won't recognize those files either. Please help :cry: and fast :p

first of all, its not wise to download programs off the internet, well, from places like kazaa and such

second of all, try using any ".exe" program in the ut directory, do a file search on your computer for *.exe in the c:\UnrealTournament folder, see what that finds, and try one of those. im kind of sure that it would be a .exe, but you can always find the non-umod versions and do it that way
