Should Easter Eggs remain hidden in the encyclopedia. Or should they have there own listing where anyone can just see them.

Regardless of choice, they will be in the game. This is just a question of listing them in the open.

IN - Make them available to all

OUT - Make people look for them. This is the current way

OTHER - Please explain.

'in' - just because if i've got the game open, i want to play, not read through the encyclopedia. such easter eggs make more sense (to me) in hardcopy, where i might actually sit somewhere at leisure and read through it in page order.

that's just me, though - i only use the encyclopedia for immediate game-influencing information, not to browse through. as such a user, i have no use for lots of the stuff that's in it already (backstory). i use that kind of reading when i'm not at the computer to make the game universe more real - not when i'm in a position that i could be playing :).

oh - in case the relationship here was vague :). 'in' because that's the only way i'd ever see them. and i'll read through them once, and then never look again in-game.

I vote for in. Most people will probably add them in anyway, might as well make it official. Very few people are going to play the game just to try to make an easter egg pop up, and this is thus very likely to be the only way most people will ever see them.

Which reminds me of a MOO2 easter egg I liked. I got a turn report something to the effect of: 'citizens are rioting on [planet x]. They are demanding shorter work weeks. And a stadium.' It took me a few to realize what it was, but I was playing on April 1st and it dutifully played its prank on me...

OK, so maybe I am a traditionalist. :)

As of now, they are IN. If the results change, I can remove them. I don't see that happening though.

There may be more than these, but these are just funny stuff to read in the encyclopedia.

If it's not OUT then it's not called an Easter Egg. It just happens the type of Easter Egg MOO3 has that it would have been better out. But if that were true, we wouldn't be calling them Easter Eggs.
