WoT Secure Woes [Archive]

Don't get me wrong, I like that idea that people write code to make our oldish game better, that folks still care enough. Unfortunately, I can no longer play on any server that runs the patch or my comp will immediately crash. If I am in the small minority then I guess I must consider my WoT gaming days at a near end but I was wondering if I could get some feedback.

Yes, I have an old POS comp but it was playing WoT fine (finally I had fixed my vid card probs) until this patch came along.

Did you install manually or dl off the server?

I don't know if there is much difference Jon, but you could clear your cache Download it and install it manually. Maybe that will work better.

Try re-installing. Usually fixes all problems.

Ya, I'm all patched up and stuff, I have also tried reinstalling to fix the problem. No luck so far. If I delete WoT secure I can play arena (since some of those servers dont have it) for hours - as soon as I switch to a server with WoT secure, it downloads and I start crashing. Dang.

You COULD try using someone else's WoT.ini and User.ini just to see if it's an invalid INI entry.
