Problem with IG2 Multiplayer

Hallo, i am new in this forum, i played ig1 and ig2 but i have a problem with the ig2 multiplayer. My friend and me would play against 2computer enemys, i used "simulate battles - off" in the settings. We started the game, first, my friend must use in his settings "simulate spacebattles - off". We began to play and when we fight in space against us we have a real battle, but when we fight against the computer enemy the battle was simulated? Can i use in settings that i can fight in a real battle against the Computer enemy? Please help and sorry for my bad english :)

What U missed was probably, when playing press escape, go to game settings and turn off the option that says if there's a big difference in forces then there's is no fight. I don't know what it's called, I have the Hungarian version.

In settings are only "simulate space fight" and the normal settings. I can play aganist normal LAN enemys but when i fight against the KI enemys the fight will be simulated :/

In multiplayer games, battle versus computer opponents is always simulated. Sucks, right?
