TH2003 game crash

I downloaded the demo. I'm considering getting this game but it keeps crashing to my desktop and I can't figure why! I play about 3 minutes and it crashes, no errors, just blanks to the desktop.

I have XP Pro, AMD 2000 (1.8 ghz), 256 RAM, and a 64mb geforce 3 ti500 video card. This thing should be flying! I disabled Virusscan, firewall, and updated sound and video drivers. I tried High and medium settings for the game.

I won't buy this game till I get it working. Thanks for any help.

I'm researching this same issue for a friend. He says his blank screen happens when he raises his gun or tries to shoot.

His system:
Dell 2350 Series
2GHz Intel
256MB SDRAM
Integrated Intel 3D AGP
60GB drive space
Windows XP Home Edition

bigal37 what version of direct x are you running. You need at least 8.1 but I think 9.0 shipped with XP. If you have 9.0 try updating to 9.0a and see if that helps. You can find the version of DX by doing a search on DXDIAG.exe and then running it once you have found it.

I applied the patch and his game is still booting him out of the game play.

His video card is listed as this on the shipping packing list:

Intel82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller

I also downloaded the new version of directx, which was 9.0b

Nick I would think it is an issue with the integrated video. You see if there are any driver updates for it. Also run the DXDIAG.exe and see if it passes all the tests. You may have to lower some settings or turn some off to get it to work.
