My vote for this round is Flashback. It is a waste of space. It is so bumpy it really hurts to ride, and they don't open it all the time.

whatever about superman, it may not compare to dragster but it started it all. dont base your decision soley by comparing it to other parks, base the vote comparing them to the coasters in the park. this is mm survivor not top theme parks in the world survivor.

I next vote off goldrusher. Though the last tiem I rode it it was pretty smooth it is just barely out of the kiddie coasters in my book. They have just finished major overhaul to the trains for goldrusher brand new axels and wheels on #3 train and the other train they run got refurbished axels and new wheels.

Ok now we are getting down to the nitty gritty of the parks coasters.

My next vote goes to Viper. This used to be my favorite but lately it is been real rough and pretty painfull, in addition the design is rather simple when compared to the rest of the to remaining coasters.

Well with Vioer the right side of the trian seems to ride much better than the left. Last time I rode teh left side it felt like I was being punched in the Kidney's the whole time. I then rode teh right side of the train and it was much better. Though last time I went to SFMM I had a nasty sunburn and spent the whole time on Viper trying to keep ny shoulders from hitting the restraint, which is not as nicely padded as other rides.

Thats Arrow for ya! lol. The smoothest Arrow coaster i have ever ridden is Mad Mouse at MiA! i got off and screamed i knew it!...I knew Arrow could make a smooth coaster with a silent lift!


One thing i like and don't like about Arrow is the tricks to riding their coasters, CS at CP head back thru the first loop forward thru the rest of the ride, less head bang that way. Viper is niffty, but can't stand next to the other rides left, well revolution but that is next to go. :D

Well it seems that some of you wish to take out a very fun and historic coaster next. NOT I Revolution is still a great coaster, it makes use of the land and landscaping better than most coasters, so I will not yet vote for it. My vote this round goes to one of the 2 remaining clones in the park. Batman the Ride. Don't get me wrong I still love this ride but it does lack something...I know what it lacks length. It is an intense ride but it is still way to short. B:tR gets my vote this round.

Hmm tough choices now. I think we are really into some great coasters now.
Well even though I make it a point to ride my next choice every time I visit I will vote off some history. The Great American Revolution is an ACE historic coaster, and those invert freaks out there really owe a lot to that coaster. However when compared to todays flippen and twisting coasters its one loop seems rather mild. So Revolution gets my vote this round.

Well Scream has been riden out of the game.

Funny how the last three are my #1,2,and tied for 3 coasters in the park. The other 3rd favorite is Scream.


Well I can not vote off my favorite so that is safe. Now it is down to choosing my #2&3. Even though my #2 coaster is great it is going to get my vote this round for the simple fact that the other 2 left own some sort of record, and it is Titan without a helix. So the speedy Goliath gets my vote.

This is it! it has come down to the last 2 coasters.

Goliath vs Riddler's Revenge.

Both are great smooth rides. Each of them deserve to win. They are both amungst the busiest coasters in the park. The lines are always at least 45-60 minutes on a slower day. But between these 2 I think the green monster deserves the win so Goliath gets my vote again

So what happened with goliath and its wheel falling off? anything damaged?

As far as i know they replaced the wheel and all was good. The way the trains are set up I doubt that it did any damage to the track. They would simply pull the busted train off and slap on a new wheel. The line would back up a bit unless they were only running 2 trains and just swaped the gimpy train with the third train.

My favorite at Magic Mountain is Viper. It's similar to my favorite at Great Annoyance, er, Great America near Chicago, the now-missing Shockwave.

Some how I knew you would say that. But for me I still love that coaster but it has not been aging to well. It seems to get rougher every year. That or I am getting older.

When I rode it in December 2002, I was still quite pleased with it, and it was still my favorite in the park. On the other hand, a similar ride at Great Expenditure in New Jersey, The Great American Scream Machine, was far rougher than either MM's Viper or Great America's Shockwave.
