Hi There!

I was playing Battle Engine Aquila on my Radeon 9500 (omega drivers) and i found that ENTIRE LAND is 100% BLACK... No grass, no any shadows no anything :-(
I was looking on screenshots (I dont know why there are no PC screenshots on official web sites) and there it looks different.

It is very hard to play without any textures on the ground...
I tried different settings in DX9, different video quality in game, but allways land is pure black.

My pc is:
windows xp (SP1+current windows update) @ athlon xp 1700+
radeon 9500 64MB with Omega drivers 2.4.60 (like ATI Catalyst 3.5)
DX9b

Hopefully this should fix things for you:

First you need to determine the Device ID for your card, I can recommend using SiSoft Sandra (http://www.sisoftware.net/index.html?dir=dload&location=sware_dl_x86&langx=en&a=). Run Sandra, click on PCI, AGP, Cardbus Information, then change the Bus Box to AGP. Now under Device you should see your four figure Device ID (for my 9800P it's 4E48).

Open up the directory where you installed Aquila and then open cardid.txt. Now scroll down to the Vendor:1002 ATI section and add the following line where xxxx represents your Device ID.

Device:xxxx Radeon9500

Save & exit, you should now be able to play with the correct textures.

Hey!
Sorry for such huge delay but i was far away from home...
Now, I launched wcpuid, looked at pci/agp cards and I have added

Device:4144 Radeon9500

just between radeon 9700 cards...

Then I launched the game and YES, YES :-) Now I can see everything, every single texture on the ground :-)
