last night I played ig2 for the first time this year.
After a while in the human campaign I ended up married to a pirate!!

I never knew that that was possible :)

I remembered everybody talking about this one! One day I'll replay the game hopefully I'll get this mission!

Since she seemed unhappy to marry me (because this marriage won't be forged by love), I set her free. And because of my good will toward her, she swore to be my loyal servant for as long as she shall live. So basically, I didn't have to marry her and she joined my fleet anyway. It was a win-win situation for both of us.:)

What happens if you marry her? Does she fight you and in the process you have to kill her?

Well, I think it is better for you to see it. But, because you asked and because it keeps happening to me (I donīt know why, I must have a thing with pirates), I can tell you what I have done, and keep doing when I play the human campaign. The best option, for me, is to marry her, you get the bonuses and the pirates fleet as well. If you set her free, she will join you as a mercenary, which is worse, in my opinion, as you canīt upgrade her ship, it will fast become obsolete, which means it will easily be destroyed later on.
