Higher resolutions?

Hello! I just downloaded the V1.06 patch and the new Setup.exe from the IG2 site and installed both...
Although the new setup program shows a bigger list of resolutions, they don't seem to work... Any suggestions anyone?

It depends on what you mean by "don't seem to work". In default they should work. The original setup.exe offers the resolutions the game was tested in during development. All that the new setup.exe does is that it tests the capability of your monitor and lists all the resolutions. Now they might not all show up as the resolutions have to be compatible with the game engine and directX of the time. You can always modify the resolution in the ig2.ini file (or something like that) in the root directory of the game. Any resolution will be applyied if your monitor supports it although the game might not run properly, but forexample it works fine on my computer: XP and directX 9 and newest detonator with 1600x1200, 32bit color debth, so it should as well for you.
Now the game sometimes crashes when launched, because directX doesn't seem to answer properly, but all you need is a restart of the OS and it will hopefully the next time. (at least that's how it goes here. :))
