Horizons Beta Testing

Does anyone know if the Beta testing is closed? or is it still possible to get into it if you just applied?

As it's an MMO, they're probably adding more people in every day. They may also have an open beta to stress test the servers, as many MMOs do.

Yea, it's still going. I'm waiting anxiously for the "You have been Accepted" email myself.

It's the luck of the draw I guess. Keep your hopes up though. There's time to pass still.

Still going... they got 180,000 applications though, so it's only about a 1/60 chance to get accepted... still, I know a LOT of people that got in so I don't think the numbers are as bad as they seem.

I'm not sure where you got that "1 in 60 chance to get in," but it seems they're processing certain people faster based on experience.
Well, I can't even be sure about that. All I know is that I received an acceptance today (after having signed up about a week ago), and a friend of mine who said he signed up in August still hasn't gotten in. The difference between us? I've participated in multiple betas, whereas he has not.

Or, as you say, it could all be random and I could be talking nonsense :p

Quiet honestly it seems to be pretty random... sorry, the 1/60 was an old figure from when they had accepted 3,000 people... right now I think they have about 7,000 in so that would be a 1/15 or so chance of HAVING been accepted (which seems more reasonable to me now), really I can't say about future probabilities :)

We are still pulling in BETA testers for Horizons so all hope is not lost. Hang in there we will try to get to you.
