What is the Atari Betatesting system?

It says there is a beta for the Atari Betatesting system. I was just wondering what this is and what does the (DB APP) stand for?

DB is the data base, and if I'm not mistaken, APP is the server. You're basically testing the server's database, like account details, etc.

Hi. :) I was very happy to receive an acceptance letter for XMP and I was curious how I go about getting the game to test. I have Unreal 2, of course, but how do I get the beta for the XMP? Do I just wait on a CD or is there somewhere I can go to download? The email gave instructions, but the site is having technical difficulties at the moment. I just don't want to look like I'm slacking instead of testing, so if I need to download it could someone please let me know.

You'll be given a download site on the Betests.net site but your going to have to wait until its running again to get the address.

They shouldnt take long to fix it.

This process should make a little more sense. Maby that comment belongs in the "how can we improve..." thread.

I recieved an email for the XMP but there is absolutely a dead end when it comes to finding any info leading to beta information.

How about a link to a password protected site for each beta test.
I appologize if this already exists. But I don't see it anywhere.
