Playing IG2 Online

When i want to play ig2 online, my pc can not connect to the irc channel server : "Imperiumgalactica.com7000"! I've this several times but nothing did happen.

Is there a new server for playing Ig2 online?
Of course i know that this game is very old and so the server might be shut down once.

Please help me

Unfortunately the server has been shut down so it's impossible to play multiplayer!
