Unreal tournament bad sound

Hi can anyone help me with my sound in unreal tournament
almost everytime i play the game the sound is all choppy and sometimes (very rare) it sounds fine. does anyone know if there is a patch or at least a reason for this.

Go into your UnrealTournament.ini (UnrealTournament/System folder). You will find two audio sections. In both, they read Latency=40. Change this to Latency=100
