i need some help getting out of the liebeery i can't find the numbers to open the door

If the doors won't open then it is because you've started the 'Four Books' puzzle and the winged monster has entered. You can't leave until you've killed the monster. This is rather difficult, but it can be done – if you have enough ammo!

The control panel with the four numbered dials on the balcony railing is a separate puzzle. The four digits can be found when you've got the two halves of the photograph of Alan and Obed as children, and put the two halves together in your inventory. The two numbers (one written on the back of each half) must be added together to give the code number.

Alan's half of the photo is in a locked drawer in his office (the room with the projector). The key to the drawer is hidden under the floorboards in the attic. Obed's half is in his bedroom (the one beyond the bust of Richard Morton), at the eastern end on the second floor). The key to the door is hidden in the owl statue in the Smoking Room. You are given a hint as to how to solve this if you operate the light switch.

You must have found one half already, as the two keys to the library are in the same locations as the photo halves. Now you need to find the other half.
