Bad Internet Gaming...

Hi..

I'm having a BIG Problem with Internet Unreal-Games...

I always played LAN-Games before, I never had any probs,
neither technical nor performance.

When I connect to a Server, everything goes fine, EXCEPT!! the Shooting! When I press Shoot, there is a really huge delay till the shoot will reach his target..:eek:
Totally UNPLAYABLE Like this !!! Its fires about a damn second after I hit the Button...!!!
Movements, etc... arge going well / fast ;
except the shooting no Performance-Probs at all!!

I turned "Stat net" on; my PINGs are always very high, very inconstant. But in the Server-List the Pings are normal, about
50 - 100. When I connect.. - - - 450...???!! :confused:

Can Somebody help PLEASE?

Didn't seem to has a lot of influence on PINGs;
I tried 5000 till 20000. No Success, the firing is still ****** up!!

What the pings are in the Server list are never usually the same in the game. Try more servers and see if they're better. Never trust what the server browser ping says. Your shooting 'problem' is called lag. It happens when your ping is 300+.

If this is related to the Servers, can someone give me a list
from Servers in Europe?
Does Somebody know where to get such a list??

I tried so many different Servers, but my PING stays always up to 300+!!
My ADSL-Connection isn't that slow, I'm downloadin' at 30
Kbits / sec. normally...:eek:
Remarkable: Always about 5 - 10 % Packet Loss!!!!!
I cant play like this!!!

Also, what is the server's side on this? I mean, OS... What OS does the server run?



Also, make sure that the server doesn't have "Optimize for LAN" enabled. This might be the reason why. If the host is playing on a private LAN and publically hosting a game, his private LAN will be fine, but all the Internet users may find connectivity/gameplay problems.



As far as getting a "list of European servers", I'm afraid that's impossible. However, if you sort the servers list by Ping, the one with the lowest number should be either the closest to you or the fastest available. But, of course, sometimes you're lucked out when someone farther away is hosting a game on snipe-shooting, when the closer one is playing Assaults, and you want to snipe. :confused:

What all programs are running in the background? And you can definitely see European servers only, you just need to get "the all seeing eye". It lets you do that.
