Shield or torpedo? That is the question!
This is my big dilemma. I just can't choose what's the best.

hello spider, the questions about shield or torpedo will be diferent 4 every race, this is my view, in beggine of the game I like torpedo than shield cause I need win too fast any batlle.

This is my big dilemma. I just can't choose what's the best. For me, it is only a dilemma for the heavy destroyers. The torpedoes are better as long as you face only with enemy destroyers (without torpedoes), but worse against larger ships (equipped with ECMs), fighters, and orbital guns.
A mathematical solution:
Multiply the firepower by the hit points, and choose the one with the higher result.
