Often writers of console magazines/websites do not take the PC into their evaluation of exclusivity. Fear not, this is a PC game as well.

You guys have no idea - I didn't know sh*t about MTG when I started working on this title but now I can tell you a bunch of different stratagies for each color. It freakishly addicting - like the CCG itself from what I hear. Like I said - I didn't play it.

See you guys online. I can't wait to see the stratigies that all you guys come up with.

Yes...MtG IS freakishly addicting... I played the downloadable demo and was insta-hooked. Started playing MtGO as soon as I could get it installed =D

All I can say is I hope this game is just as addicting as the CCG =D (game addictions are good for the health...ehh...for game devs atleast)

I meant the CCG demo, I was responding to Scottmc. You can get that demo from www.magicthegathering.com
Sorry if what I meant wasn't readily apparent.

Yes, I have had it for a few days now...and
I STILL HAVEN'T BEATEN QUEST MODE.
The review where that guy from wherever said that the single player was too easy - well, this was one of those times where you can tell that a reviewer only played for like 10 minutes or so just to get a review out the door. Some of the levels seem ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE and the game will even tell you that beforehand. Eventually you will figure out the strategy you need to employ, however, and this will show you just how balanced out this game is.
I remember one quest level where you start with no mana (as usual) and your opponent starts with ALL MANA and an enchantment already out. The opponent, having all mana, starts churning out creatures immediately, and you are still unable to do a damn thing about it. Having said all that, you are expected not just to survive (as you are in some levels) but you are expected to win.

And BTW, I was trusting Atari's judgement about limiting SB's to ten spells, but now that I have the game, I still think it should have been more. Maybe not alot more, but still more.

You have to remember that the single player is a big tutorial getting you ready to take on people over LIVE and GameSpy. There are going to be times (like in TiaMaster's single player duel above) where you will be spent but your opponent has 1More health 2) more mana 3) an enchantment out. (it's happened to me more than once)

Instead of laying down and getting your butt beaten into the ground you have to get up and fight back - maybe you only have one health point left when you win but this game is not how much you beat your opponent by - a win is a win.
