Beta ID vs. Forum ID

I just created a forum account. I had to use different information for my email and I'm not sure if it linked my forum registration to my beta registration... Is it supposed to do that? And is it important?

Don't worry, it's not linked to your BetaTests.net account at all. The only reason these boards don't support free web-based e-mail accounts is because they are often used to spam. Using a different e-mail will not effect you at all.
