I don't remember, was there slow-motion replay or somethin' on the film director mode in Driver 1 or 2?... I hope that's something that they include in Driver3. What other new things do you think they'll add to it?

There wasn't a slow mo, but I hope they have it this time. I don't really know what I'd lke in film director, cause I thought it was too boring to use, I hope the fast forward and rewind are improved, and even have it play in reverse too, thats the other addition I want, so I can see the crashes in reverse. Anyway, the thing that sucked about the older film directors is I couldn't get to the part I wanted to see right away, I either had to watch it for 5 minutes until that part, or fast forward for 5 minutes, thinking somethings wrong with it. This time, they should have it like a DVD scene selection, where it takes a frame from specific part of the chase and you can go straight to that part. Then, I would use it a whole lot more. And besides, with the much improved physics over D2, it should already be much more fun to watch, more car flipping action, if its anything like Stuntman.

Yeah, they need to improve the film director a little bit... especially, like matt_jon said, they need to improve on the fastforwarding and rewinding. Also, I would like to see some new things, like slow motion would be cool, and also a matrix thing, like right at the beginning of a crash you could make every stop and the camera makes a circle around the scene where you see some of the debris flying off the cars, then it goes back to normal. But yeah, I really hope that they do add some new features to the film director.

Movie director was fun!

Like already said here, forwarding etc was annoying. I hope the editor is more stabile too, because when editing, the editor crashed quite often (maybe because i had too many shots, i don't know).
Slow motion would be cool. But don't go the matrix way. It has been used too much imo, it's not original anymore!
More views are obligated... in car, rooftop, bumper (front, rear) etc, also attach the camera to another car (the one you purchase, or just anyone you want to)

For PC-version, it would be nice to export the movie so it can be edited in external programs. (For playstation2, i would capture the image and to the same, but with lower quality ofcourse)

It took me 5 minutes to think what i think would be nice, and there will be more. I guess for the producers, it can't be hard to come up with more features.

I don't care if the Matrix stuff is over used, theres a reason for it, and I hope that they have it in here, and able to do it when paused, in bullet time, regular slow motion, and normal speed, and why not, if they have reverse speeds like I said before, then it should work there too.

This is what I want the New Movie Directer to have:
O.K. first of all the movie directer needs a rewind button that doesn't make you go all the way to the beggining of the replay.
The new movie directer needs special cameras that make slow motion, matrix, black and white, security camera style, a camera from a ped's point of veiw, and other cool things like that.
I want to be able to control the volume of the sound effects, the music, and the voices. The new Movie Director should also let you put song tracks from a variety of tracks(and we need a Rock sound track).

soundtrack is good idea, music in general should be improved.

Cameras in replay action must be able to be placed where you want, independent of where the action is taking place.
I want to jump to a certain place in a city for some reason (for example, to show a spot where something, like a crash,etc.. is going to happen).

It would be handy in planning where to place the camera, to have a map displayed that shows the route where you have driven, or while editing the movie, where the car will lead to. So you know where you have taken which turn. Especially usefull in longer pursuits, where it's hard to remember exactly what you have done.
With a marker, you should then be able to jump to a certain place in the city when you click the map.
I don't know exactly how to explain in english. But i'll try to make some kind of screenshot this evening at home based on the driver2 map.

*EDIT:

for demonstration purpose: http://users.pandora.be/swinnen1/Driver/Map_driver.jpg

This is just an idea for the film director in D3 where i used a D2 map to show what i mean. The line shows the route you have followed. So, starting poing, ending point, current position... Maybe other things can be added: jumps, crashes, etc... using small icons.
In D2, there were colored bars for every different kind of camera used in the playback and editing mode. This line might also have those colors, to remember what angle you have used for your movie, a little preview screen of your current angle, position etc...
I could go on and on, but in the end, the game remains the most important issue. As long they make it easy to navigate i'll be happy.
