I need help :( IG2 will not run on my XP Pro. Black screen, thats all i see. can the grafikcard driver from my GF TI 4200 make Problems ?

The Patch 1.06 is install and thers no error messege. only a black screen ...

My System
Intel P4 2000GHZ
512MB DDRRAM
GeForce 4 Ti4200(Detonator 52.16)
120GB HDD
Creative Soundblaster Live
WinXP Pro
DirectX 9.0B

i have startet the setup first. Grafikmode 800*600 and 1024*768 with 16 Colors.

after that i start the game .... :( and have a black screen with my mouse icon. nothing more :(

The new Detonator drivers 53.03 is out. Go try that instead!

the new driver 53.03 is installt.

:( the same black screen. no error messeges, only the mouse icon. i testet in the setup all grafikmode :confused:

Okay, if this doesn't work the I don't know what will. Go to the driver archive and install Detonator 30.82!

And now .... thers a ather problem :D The Movies in the Game stocks. Is that a problem with the virtuall RAM from the OS ?

I forgot how the fix goes! Try doing a search on cinematics!

i cread with alcohol 120% a image from the CD. Now can i play :D

Cinematics is Me compatibility, virtual memory and lots of restart! Both OS and game! :D

This is a common problem. There are very likely more than i reason why this happens.

In my case...the program called 'Gator'...which remembers my passwords and other information was interfering with the loading of IG2...so, just go to your Windows Task Manager and shut down 1-Program at a time....as you keep trying to load the game until you find the offending program.

CNTRL & ALT & DELETE...open the PROCESS-Tab ...and shut down programs in here....be careful what you shut-down...as you can shut your computer down.
