The event footage is kinda like if DRIV3R was a club. It is loud music and there is a movie theater size screen that is revolving around the room & one sitting in a designated spot. They have 10 demo stations set up in the center, 5 on the left and the other right across facing each other with a lane going down to a real car hauler with two classic exotic cars on the bed. One is a Ferrari, and the other I cannot recall. The have a booth built above the cab of the truck for the DJ. With free drinks lined up on the outer wall sitting on lighted trays. Then they focus on the food tables and they look good and have foreign license plates placed throughout the tables.

The demo stations each have a car seat with a car door acting as the windshield and a steering wheel mounted to it. Then a 27"ish TV behind it. They focused on a IGN editor with a XBOX controller for a bit but never showed an glimpse of game footage, probably a request from ATARI.

Oh, I guess I didn't miss much then.

If you go to gamestop you can stream the video interview with Edmonson, Madsen, and Rodriguez, while interviewing Edmonson he was sitting in front of a screen with looping game footage playing behind him, but its low res. I liked watching it. He didn't really say anything new about the game though, although one thing he said was you could steal any driveable vehicle, and you can even get in vehicles that aren't driving, like "forklifts and things like that." I hope a crane is a thing like that, with an operateable arm. And since you can drive forklifts around, maybe if there is a crane, you can drive that around too.

I just realized I could watch that video today, since it said Gamespot Complete I thought it was only for Complete members. But in the interview with Martin Edmondson, he said that the grenade launcher is what made those big explosions where the car flies apart, so I'm happy that was just from the weapons instead of every time you blow up a car...
