New section at driver3.com: first trailer is available for "Run the gauntlet". This looks very promising. I can't wait for the next trailer and the complete movie.

Yeah, we'll be able to see the first episode in 10 days, on the 23rd, a Friday. There will be yet another trailer Saturday.

It looks good. Is that Nicholas Cage?

Holy Crap I can't wait till the short film comes out. All I have to say is this better be worth me getting excited about. Holy crap the film is really short, so it better have decent acting and none of that college student ****.

Oh if you goto IGN and look at the making of, there is the most awesome explosion!

Yeah, that second trailer sucked. Maybe they should only release one trailer per episode, I mean come on, they released two trailers totaling 2 minutes when the actual episode is only 1 minute. They should've had more gameplay cuts in it.

Maybe, if we are lucky episode one will surpass 1 minute. Those trailers were only supposed to be 30 seconds and turned up being nearly a minute each. Now If I were going to spend that much cash I would want to squeeze as much out as possible. Perhaps a directors type cut will come as a bonus feature with the game.

Maybe. I just am not too excited about these movies, its not actual gameplay, so its just like watching an uninteractive movie. If I were Atari, I would've just asked Reflections to make a 5 minute car chase film covering several features of the game with actual gameplay. Well, I'm still hoping these films are good. According to Martin Edmonson, I haven't seen any of the good car chase movies the Driver series is based on. I thought the Matrix 2 car chase was great. I wonder if those old movies chases live up to that... But anyway, I get much more excited about gameplay footage than real life stuff.

Oh yea, I really hope they do put the episodes as bonus on the game... They had alot of that stuff on Stuntman... Like the 'Making Of' they have on the Driv3r website now, it should have the videos on the disc instead.

Actually, after watching the second trailer again, it is pretty good. So what if it has pretty much the same stuff, the action is better in the second one, and now I'm hyped for the actual thing tommorrow. Maybe there'll be a site upgrade tommorrow too, since there will probably be more people going there tomorrow then there have been since it opened. Hopefully they'll put up some gameplay movies with car chases. Don't reveal any more missions please. Oh yeah, show the first part of the Gauntlet at half time during the superbowl. Only if the real thing captures the essence (and you can do everything from it) in the game.

This shortfilm will be so great... I mean, is there any better cinematic style than "Scott-style"? :eek:
What I have seen from the trailers looks exactly I expected (well, its not really by scott, but has his style.. so.. ;)).
Should be as great as the "Beat the devil" bmwusa shortfilm... :)
When will it be released??! :eek:

It's really good... but really short because alot of it is wasted by the credits and stuff in the beginning.

I liked it, I liked it A LOT!!! The only thing that I do not like is streaming video. Why can't they just make it a download so we can watch it over & over when we want like the trailers. I suppose they have some type of plan for it. Maybe it will be downloadable when episode 2 is released. Speaking of other episodes, why do they not have dates set for the next set?

It cut off before it got to the good part! Well, except for the flying pigs, but everything else was boring. Maybe there'll be a chase scene in the next one. Since the release of D3 is set for March 23, I wouldn't be too surprised if the next episode is Feb 23 and then March 23, but I think it might not make much sense to release the last part of the episode the day of release of the game, if you're using them as advertising. I signed up at the UK site because the US one wasn't working. I wonder if the video is in E:/Temporary Internet Files, I'll have to check. If it really was streaming, I won't be able to save it and watch it again.

To all that has not seen it in full, that is EXTREEEEEMLY BAD @$$. Thank god its not that that crap that they made for Driver 2, though it has some simularities (Tanner doesn't talk and its in peices) It feels just like your watching a commercial, I wish it was longer, much longer. I could go for a full length movie by this director if he directs Driver the movie.
