Galaxy Andromeda name change

I know this isn't really IG2 related but i had to post it on here. GA has been renamed to NEXUS due to licencing issues. Dutch developers HD Interactive have picked up where Mithis (the former developers) left off. they promise over 30 missions where you must battle it out against different alien species, and intense multiplayer action.

But that is just one posting. Official it was renamed in july last year ;)

It was renamed from IG3 to Galaxy Andromeda due to licencing issues.
Then it was dumped by the publisher CDV.
Now it has been picked up by the publisher HD Interactive.
It is still as far as I know being made by essentially the same team of developers who started it: Philos, though the IG3 team left Philos & became Mithis.
The new name Nexus is much less ungainly & actually has some relationship to the plot :)

Anyways, the developers appear to be allowed to post on the forums there this time :)

Best bit of news so far is that they have at least some directx9 effects, specifically the ship self shadowing which will now work on ATI cards too :)
