what are all those blips for on the radar?...
stuntdriver

It is believed to be buildings that can be entered. Of course I am sure there will be enterable buildings not on radar as well.

Most likely. I wonder if they'll show up after you unlock them...

In some of the pics Tanners in the same area, you can tell by looking at the map in some, and in some pics the blue/white blips don't stay in the same place, so I doubt they're buildings

No, they're in the same place, I looked, I even flipped around the maps on paint just to make sure, all the spots are in the same places on every map.

Some one has posted some in-game pics while the game is being played during a press demo in Sweden over at TeamXbox Forums (http://forum.teamxbox.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=243625&perpage=15&pagenumber=1) I have included the one I think is simply beautiful.

This game looks so fricking fun!!! The graphics look just like the replays we have seen, I am more and more amazed every time we get a further glimpse into our future.

Nice find! Damn I wish this was coming out in March. I keep thinking not too long now, then I remember it got moved back to June. ARGH! I'm gonna go look at those pics. I hope the next upgrade the D3 site gets is a major upgrade, with tons of videos and many more pictures. And more on the features page.
Edit: Looks like theres more than 8 weapons.

I think those are bullet holes in this car Tanner's (hopefully) getting out of...

...Another map!

...and there's one picture of 1st person view, when Tanner's shooting the grenade launcher under a car that explodes.

This game looks soo friggin awesome! I CAN"T WAIT! But I would still like some new actual ingame videos, where Tanner is running around switching between first and third person view, and some swimming and boats.

I wonder what city the brown map is, because in the pics from Driver Extreme, all the maps were green (the ones with the Mustangs were Miami, the motorcycle and first person view is in Nice, and the rest are Istanbul because of the star and moon symbol on the map), I guess theres either (the more unlikely) another city in the desert, or the map changes color based on the region so drier regions are brown, or maybe its a sandy region... who knows. June seems so far away.

I could not find my way around that, even with it translated. I wanted to see the other pics, glad someone else got them. That last pic is funny because if it were me and 3 others we would be on that empty Xbox station, not talking.

 Well forget about that advertising crap, I wouldn't be mad if they delayed it another year if it means properly fixing all those bugs Edmondson mentions... and about Tanner's house with the powerboat and pool: :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Thanks for the link... Although I think he's completely wrong about not alot of people wanting to mess with the replay editing... The film director is, afterall, what really makes the Driver series different... if we can't create our car chases and make them look completely cinematic, then what's the point in making a reference to movies at all?

This game sounds feakin insane! And well I guess they have their work cut out for them in the next few months, which I guess I'll be willing to wait. As long as there aren't many bugs or slowdowns. Unfortunately this preview confirmed the September release date...
Driv3r is due to be released on PS2 and Xbox in June, with a PC version to follow around three months later
Oh well... whats another 3 months...
PSgamer262

Great article matt__jon, THANKS!!!! It confirms quite a lot of what people wanted to know. It is also a big plus to finally here them admit the game needs work. All I have to say is: "Reflections came this far, its looking great and don't stop working around the clock until it is done right."
I wonder though, are they maybe having a problem with one system more than the other? Every time I see the game demoed it seems we see it on the XBOX. Maybe Reflections did it again and pushed the PS2 a bit to much like they did with Driver 2 on PSone? Just a thought. It does look great on both.
On a good note, Burnout 3 is coming out worldwide in Sept. '04' and IGN has 4 screen shoots. Here they are:

I believe they are all XBOX images, and no word on a GC version.

Nice find, I saw those 4 screenshots earlier too, but this game also looks awesome. I was gonna post that too (the first 4, hadn't seen the second set), but I figured you'd see it somewhere else sooner or later. Its all about the 3's this year, B3, D3, MGS3... Thats all I can think of.

The crashes looking amazing in this game, I like the bent frame on the yellow Camaro looking car. I love the crash missions, they are so addicting, sitting their trying to top your record or beat your friends high score, we went back and fort with B2. It was great fun

I noticed one pic of someone messing around with the Film Director... looks like that bar thingy that shows the replay progress is there to stay... I was hoping you'd be able to turn it off or something, so it looks good on video. At least it's smaller (I think) and on the bottom this time. Film Director (http://hem.bredband.net/matenv/Driv3r_22.JPG)
I hope they get some pictures of the camera tools and stuff sometime soon. Like IGN, I think, had that whole Film Director preview on the 1st (or second?) Driver game, that showed what all the options did.

matt, Thanks again for those articles over at eurogamer.net
Those are the type of interviews and reviews I like to read, full of detail and honesty. Can you believe they are spending $12,693,954.25 USD for marketing alone, That is the budget of most high profile games. with expectations of 10 million copies sold worldwide, which I think it will have no problem doing. I have extreme faith in Reflections and Atari in getting to us a quality product. With a little under 4 months of development time I now they can do it. I read some where that Atari hired loads of programmers just because of the bugs to work around the clock, and if you do the math and take 2, 12 hour shifts at 6 days a week (based on a development team probably works 10-12 hours a day, 5-6 days a week) you are really getting 8 months of work done in 4 months.
"There are also a few bikes in there, cranes , trucks, a fully articulated 18-Wheeler in there, a fishing boat, even a tugboat,"
Holy WOW, he said cranes!!!!! That sounds like immensely destructive fun!!!!
