Welcome, and don't woory about the release date. M.E. said they asked for more time then they needed, just to be shure.

Yep, you are correct stuntdriver. TannerNeedsAHug, you have nothing to worry about. They will not push back the date any further than what they have. Why does Tanner need a hug? Just curious.

He's been forgotten for 3 and a half years. (by most people)

I don't really know, my first choice was TannerIsABadass, but my friend called it gay, so I busted this one out just for spite.

I guess you have a good reason.

I think you need a hug more than Tanner and it isn't going to be from me.

I think you'll need more than a spoiler to make your Sunbird go fast.

I have a feeling this place isn't gonna work out well. All these flame wars going on.

On second thought, I think someone must've got Tanner...Hugs password, a little brother or something. Happens a lot, perfectly fine person all of a sudden turns evil and hates everyone.

TannerNeedsAHug
02-21-2004, 08:55 PM
nah, you know Classic_Muscle, he's the friend who told me that TannerIsABadass was a gay name. And the guy with the Sunbird, is not my friend at all.

I hate ricers, but I drive an import...big difference. But I'd trade my car anyday for a 55 Chevy thats decent and drivable.

I drive a 2003 NEON SXT, but what it should be is a 2003 Viper SRT-10 or a 69' Dodge charger R/T with a 440 six pack.
Hell, I would settle for a NEON SRT-4:D

TannerNeedsAHug

the 68 Charger is a lot better looking, and a 426 would be great. The Hemi doesnt like to idle well, but if you gun it, nothing can touch it.

68' is nice as well. Those two in my book define MUSCLE CAR!!

I'm just partial to the 68 cause it was in Bullitt and I like the taillights better, but I wish the 68 had the front end of the 69.

Hey guys, I just joined!

Since the topic is cars I love those badass American cars of the late 70's / Early 80's (Lincoln Contintal, MkV, Ford Thunderbird, etc) I think I saw a car like that in one of the movies (it even had the 'continental' spare wheel kit on the back and hidden headlamps) I can't wait to drive one of these...make me feel like a pimp :D I also love the trucks, they should be fun...a lot better than those in GTA.

Welcome.

On the cars, I don't know whih year it is, but my favorite Charger is the one on Test Drive, if anyone has that. Love the tail lights on that one. I can never find a pic of a real life version that looks exactly like it unfortunately.

I also saw a red Viper goin down the street in front of my house today. I felt honored to stand so close one in the wild (about 50 feet). My best experience was driving down the highway passing a red Ferrari Testarossa. Nice! Unfortunately the driver was old and was going slower than my Dad in a mini van. I said he should at least give it to me so I could drive it right.

My '79 Chrysler LeBaron kicks ass! Really cool headlights. I love those sorts of two door luxury sports coupes. Not that fast or good in the corners but man does it look nice! And the seat warmers are great in cold winter mornings.

I'm in definite favor of the 1969 440 Magnum R/T.

That one is a 69, cause it has the rectangular taillights. If you search www.cardomain.com you can find the actual Charger that was used for the cover of Test Drive, its called "my 69 daily driver Charger", minus the huge blower on top, that was photoshopped in.

Actually, if you look on the cover of Test Drive, it is a 69 Charger. http://www.us.atari.com/games/td_psx2/box.jpg Here's the link you were talking about http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/396326

I couldn't remember at first what year the Charger was until I viewed the cover. Then I looked through Car Domain and found it.

Yeah, I saw a thing on speed channel last night about Dodge, and I like the front grill on the 68 and the tail lights on the 69.

I'm the other way around, I like the split 69 bumper and the 68 round taillights. If I ever get an old charger, I'm gonna do that...put a 68 rear end on a 69.

TannerNeedsAHug
02-24-2004, 04:19 PM
hey ClassicMuscle, is there a big difference in the size of the 68 and 69? The 68 seems a little wider and beefier? Maybe all I'd have to do is just put in the taillights anyways.

But I still want the 68 Fastback as well.

I like the way the back end curves around, like how the back window curves in and the strust or whatever have that sharp edge, very nice looking. Theres already a Challenger/Cuda in this game, lets hope theres a Charger and maybe even a secret Charger Daytona.

TannerNeedsAHug
02-24-2004, 04:34 PM
68's and 69's are the same except for the tails and bumper.

and they better get a charger.

and it could go either way, challenger or cuda.

Hi TannerNeedsAHug!
Welcome, I waited 3 years for Driver 3 to come out. i remember when I beat Driver 2 at the end in the credits it said "Tanner and Jones return this 2002" They were 2 years late! I hope the only reason they are late and delayed it is because they are making it the coolest game and even better then Grand Theft Auto lll and Vice City! See ya TannerNeedsAHug!

Actually, Tannerneedsahug, the '69 and '68 are totally different. They changed the body dramatically in '69. It's a bit bigger. They changed it again in '71 which is when they started screwing the body style up, IMO. I know because I used to have a '70 which is identical to the '69 besides the tail, front, and a few side scoops. The '68 is the same as the '66 and '67 in terms of body size. If you put a '68 and a '69 side by side you'll see what I mean.

Yeah, the 68's are quite beefy, watch Bullitt and you know. I've never seen a 68 and 69 side by side.

did they make the 69 bigger or smaller?

Darion350
03-04-2004, 01:09 AM
They made the '69's bigger than the '68's (it was basically a new model, like the Corvette C-1, C-2, C-3, etc). The '71's were even bigger but they were ugly, IMO. 1970 was the last year of the great Mustang muscle cars.
