The problem is the game was made in 1999 and runs on either 95 and windows 98 and i run on windows XP it installs alright and i can play but it will let me play 1 game then when i click on the next mission it will act like its going to run it closes my program.
Things i have tried doing.
1 re installing it
2 changed my image settings to a lower bit.
I love the game and if its just because im on xp thats the reason i cant play then let me know thanks

Try it on software - windowed mode (look at the readme to find out how) ANd see if you can hunt down the I-war patch somewhere, unless it comes with deluxe... (Dunno really)

Try using the glide wrapper that's being talked about on this forum.

OK:
Go Here:
http://home.t-online.de/home/zsack/glide_wrapper/index.html
Download the wrapper. Run it. Then run IWar. You should be good to go.

Ok. The simple version (I only have I-war not deluxe btw)
(a) there should be a file on your I-war folder called Game.exe or Iwar.exe (theres differences between the US and EU versions on this score) Make a shorcut of those files
(b) Move shortcuts to desktop for easy access. Leave original files alone
(c) Right click on the shortcut. Click on properties. You should see a box with target next to it. After C:\Yeadayada\somewhere\iwar.exe put a space and type -w
(d) It should look something like
C:\program files\iwar\iwar.exe -w
If it does click apply. What you have just done is set a command line option on the program run from that shortcut
(e) Run the shortcut. If it doesent work use the same procedure on the other shortcut
That clear enough? :)
IWar Deluxe *and the IWar Standard that came with it* are up-to-date patch wise. Patches apply on only to the pre-IW Deluxe era IW "standard".
Nose_dive 2002, I would recommend you pick up a copy of Win98SE and run you computer as a dual-boot machine. Do check out that 'glide wrapper' though.
On the side: How good is that glide wrapper compared to, say, a Voodoo 5?
Nosedive, what are your system specs?
