As being a citizen of that huge, mighty, fascinating city, Istanbul; I can answer any questions you can ask about your new homeland ;)

How can you live in an imaginary land they invented just for the game?

It will be a great experience, Plus it means I have played the game far enough to be there.

Are all the streets narrow?
What kinds of cars and what years are they from in Istanbul nowadays (or whenever you lived there)?
Thanks

I really hope that only Miami is unlocked for Take a Ride when you first start playing... I want this game to last as long as possible. It's like cheating to get to the other islands in GTA, I'm disappointed when there's nowhere new to go, so I stop playing. :(

I agree, it should only be available once you reach that part of the game.

to t3h_nOob & El_Nach0 :
maybe there will be some imaginary places but as i saw from the screenshots and the videos&trailers; they used the real city mostly for the game..
to matt__jon :
don't think about istanbul as a poor ancient city..it's one of the most ancient cities in the world but is a modern european city..there are hundreds of years old buildings, narrow streets but there are also modern life trade centers, wide streets, highways..the cars are mostly modern, don't expect cars from 60s,70s like havana city..but i saw so many old cars in istanbul from the screenshots; i don't know why..
did you know that more than 13million people live in istanbul??

D3 takes place in the 1970's thats why the cars are older looking. I was asking because Havana had cars that were 20 years behind Chicagos and Vegas' cars in D2, and Istanbul seemed like a city where the cars would be behind the times. I guess not though. Thanks.
Also, the reason they might've said its a made up version of the city is because some of it is, Reflections shortened some of the longer roads in the middle of nowhere to alleviate boredom when you're trying to get somewhere. I don't think that would be too boring, but maybe it was a better decision. The decision they made I don't like though, is they shortened the highway in Miami. What?! Why would they do that, highway is for driving faster, and they shortened it. Edmonson said instead of being a 10 minute ride on the highway it'll be more like 1 minute. I want to make my own game when I hear of decisions like that, so I can do the game right. Oh well, I guess it'll be better than GTA, which had no highway.

Well 1 minute is longer than it takes to get across in Vice City, isn't it?... I think so. But I did enjoy driving on the freeway in True Crime... so real, it was insane.

To me those freeways felt fake, no debris on the road, no traffic, no graphiti...Did activision even come to LA!!?

I think they did most of it with Satellite pictures. But anyway, I still wish the freeway would be longer than 1 minute. Some things are better left the way they are.
