I have been doing massive searches for the songs in DRIV3R mainly for the "This is my destiny" from Run the Gauntlet.
One of my frequent searches includes a titles & descriptions search at eBay.
Well I think I have found the first sign of the soundtrack, I bought this instantly. It is a UK single by a band called SYNTAX the single is "BLISS" and the best part, the reason why I snapped it up. It includes an exclusive DRIV3R trailer. I can't wait to receive this.
So good luck to all that try to get it. I will let every one know when I get it.
A link to the auction I won HERE (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2598103185)
*EDIT* I just purchased 5 from SONY music UK, the total order cost me a little under $50. I will sell 3 of them for $10 each plus shipping ($2 for US) to the first 3 people that post that they want one. I am not profiting I am just trying to help out die hard DRIV3R fans. Heck I paid more for the one off of eBay:(
( I hope I am able to do this in the forums, if not I will not sell them as I do not want to be banned;) )

Have you watched the trailer on it? Is it different than what is on the internet?

Nope, I just ordered them. The site says it will take 7 to 14 days for my order to get to me. Maybe the eBay one I bought will reach me sooner. I will give an update as soon as I get one.
I sure hope it is different, it does say exclusive, so it should be. The one on the UK mag PSM2's DVD is totally different then what we have seen so far.

I think my friend found the trailer thats gonna be on the CD:
http://www.syntaxonline.co.uk/
Its under latest news if you go there, you can only stream it though.
But if you open Explorer on your computer and go to E:\ Temporary Internet Files its called 900020000009613.wmv, you can move that into your usual file directory and go back whenever you want and watch it.

I know it says the song destiny will be on the Album but it does not sound the same as the song in the game trailer. If you go to their site with the link that you have already posted, and click "Album" you can here a brief sample of all the songs that are suppose to be on the album. And when you listen to the "Destiny" sample it sounds nothing like the song in the game trailer. It could be that the song used for the trailer is a special remix done just for the game.
Please post if you here anything else.
Hope this helps,

In my research on the songs we know about, I have found that Syntax songs are dance and tend to be 7 minutes long or more. The snippet you heard might just be from the beginning of the song and dance songs have a tendency of changing their beat and sounds through out the length of the track.
Here is what I know about the songs so far,
Zero P.M. is on The Bellrays - Grand fury ( Awesome album!!!easily obtainable, got one on eBay for $1.30 +s/h)
Boy From the City is on SLO-MO - (self titled 2003 release, import only)
Big Brat is on Phantom Planet's self titled debut album. Released on Jan 06, 2004 (Great album and it is cheap!)
And of course Destiny is on SYNTAX - Meccano Mind, which will be released
March 1st 2004 (import only)
I have ordered the Syntax - Bliss CD single for the DRIV3R - destiny trailer, I will be ordering Syntax and Slo-Mo when Meccano Mind is released on 3-1-04 as to save on import costs and shipping.
You might ask, Why not wait until the DRIV3R soundtrack to get these songs? Well first there may not be one, but most likely there will be. Second, I like to here what else they do, so far I like all I have heard. The import part of it all sucks, they cost a fortune.

The only game I've ever heard of having a soundtrack you can buy is VC, I doubt D3 would have it. Maybe you can listen to the songs on the audio options menu like most games.

True Crime has a soundtrack and there are a few others, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

It's true that the beginning of the song is different from what you can hear in the DRIV3R trailer. I have to say that there's only a small part at the end of the song which is used for the trailers.
I know this because I have the full version of the song, and I also have the other 2; The Bellrays - Zero P.M. and Phantom Planet - Big Brat (both full versions).
Through this post I ask people who have the full version of the song 'Slo-Mo - Boy From The City' if they please could contact me at driver@theextremenetwork.com
Thank you.

at least Driver 1 music didn't skip and sound out of beat in some missions... like Driver 2. But it's obviously nothing compared to licensed music that Driv3r will have.

in order to get not too easily bored by the soundtrack, it would be nice (for the pc version at least), to be able to listen to your own mp3-collection while driving through d3 cities.
-> was possible in GTA 3 (i think) , you just had to put shortcuts in a music folder where the game was installed, leading to the mp3's you wanted to listen to...

This band Syntax reminds me alot of Rob Dougan (http://www.rob-dougan.com) . (They even have the plastic head theme throughout thier album art like Dougan) In fact, when I first saw the Destiny trailer, I thought it WAS Rob Dougan. Dougan did a lot of music for the Matrix series, among other things, his music is awesome, very theatrical.
My question is, who is doing the score for Driv3r? All those songs like "End Theme" "Streets of Miami" and "Istanbul Theme" sound great. I think they really capture the Driv3r spirit.
Thanks.

The score is done in-house I believe. I know the script was so why not the music.

You can add 5 more artists to the DRIV3R soundtrack.
Exit by Stateless
Ripe For The Devil by Okuniev
Black Thread by Los Halos
Bowels of the Beast by The Raveonettes
C'mon and Try by Mellow Drone
You can here clips of all five songs on the Official website.
So that gives us 9 licensed songs, only 3 left to reveil.
I am not counting Narco because it is my belief that those are the internal teams tracks.

He is some extremely detailed soundtrack information for DRIV3R.
It is over at ign, it can be seen HERE (http://music.ign.com/articles/521/521891p1.html)
Some of the more notable news is: "Furthermore, each original CD will contain n-CD technology that will grant exclusive access to a special vaulted website where cheats for the game, a special deleted scene and competitions can be accessed."
