Purchased NWN Gold last night. Installed, patched, and went to play the game. At first everything seemed fine. The game loaded up great and the movie played well. Then I hit "play". It's then I noticed there was a choppiness/delay, through everything, even the character creation. I was hoping this is just how things were, but it carrued on into the game play. The only way I can decribe the choppiness is like a bad lag on an online game.
So I hit the technical support site and tried eveything they said to there. I made sure my drivers were updated, I had directX 9.0, HD defragged, ran SpyBot Search and Destroy, closed down all running applications, tried changing in-game options (aliasing off, sound emulation off) played with shadows and reducing graphics, nothing has helped.
I have an okay system, nothing great..
Windows XP Home edition
AMD Athlon 1.2GB processor
768MB SD ram
GeForce 4 ti4200 128mb ddr vid card
68 GB free on an 80GB 7200rpm HD
I'm at a loss, I have never had an issue getting a game to work on my system. Any ideas? Anyone seen this problem before?
