My old puter was a P233. I bought EOC hoping to play it some day.

Well, finally it's a reality. P4 3.06Ghz, 512 RAM, GeForce 5200FX, Audigy Platinum, Intel 856 board... And I am gonna play EOC finally!!!

Don't worry, I have some other games I haven't played due to lack of machine.

Battlezone II, Fakk2, Oni, No one lives forever, Freespace 2.

Nice system, although you may want to upgrade that GF FX5200 (I have one, it sucks!). Whatever, you're about to play some of the best games of the past 5 or so years. Enjoy! I am very jealous! :)

Congrats AR81. Try using the SCP enhanced version of FS2, for teh extr4 pr3tty.

I also used to have a P233. I upgraded to a 1400 Tbird 2 years ago and EOC was one of the major reasons for the upgrade.

Try not to get too frustrated, but you'll love it.

And it is GOOD! :cool: Environment-mapping coming up nicely, FOV adjustable, HTL seems to work like a charm.

Interesting thing to note: FS2 SCP runs on this computer (P4 2 GHz, 512 Mb RAM, Radeon 9700, blah) just a little faster than regular DX5-FS2 did on my P2 450 with 128 Mb RAM and Rage Fury. Yo. Well, that's during the really really big battles. Smaller battles run as smoothly as... Um, well, they run smoothly. :) And look bloody gorgeous.
