Xcom Interceptor Probe Probs

Hi, recently gone back to playing Xcom Interceptor V1.2 but every time i get an alien probe or jamming probe i cant target it in the mission? Target buttons target the probe giving me a SE direction but the probe isnt there it sits on the centre of the rear scanner with no movement relative to mine (effectivly stuck to my back). Wingmen accept the order to destroy it but mill about near me? anyone have any suggestions/fixes

techie answer =
This is caused by the fact that the game is not compatible with windows 2000
or XP. There are no fixes for the issue.
