Funny Driver Experiences?

Hey guys, with Driv3r just around the corner, I thought it be fun to look back and tell about all of our funny driver experiences. Just tell what Driver game it was from, 1 or 2, and share the funniest thing that ever happened to you. For me, (on Driver 2) I remember when I was in the middle of a big police chase, and there were about two or three cops on my tail. As I came to a red light, I stopped just for fun. Then, the police slammed into the back of my car and my car slid past the red light. Then I heard on the police radio, "He just ran a red light!" :haha:

driver: i was playing survival in san frisco and i slamed into a wall. then the cops slamed into me. there was no where to go ecsept up. i went higher than the buildings!

In D2 i was being chased by one cop & i was about to go over the draw bridge( about 1/3 way up) and i ran the light and there was a school bus coming and the cop slammed into the bus and i made it safely over the bridge while the cop and the bus lay in the river.
I saved that replay and i kept that memory card till this day

I remember in driver when i was beign chased by the cops in Miami and i hit a car then the cops hit me i crashed into a wall and flew to the other side of the houde infront of me.

Great stories guys! Keep posting, I'm very intrested. By the way, I also remember when I was playing Driver 2 in Las Vegas, I was up in the Ghost Town area, and cops were chasing me. If you have ever been to that area, you will know that there are many hills and trees. Well, a cop drove right next to me and we were side-by-side. At the top of a hill, there was a large tree. We both jumped the hill together, and he hit the tree, while I continued flying in the air. It was hilarious!

Driver 2:

Once.....I was playing survival in Vegas, and a s**t load of cops were chasing me. (of course) And so....they rammed me hard into the side of a building, making me "fly" across the street.

See, when the cops rammed me into the building....I must've ''bounced'' off the wall. :eek:

I remember playing Driver 2 multiplayer on the horse-racing track for HOURS with my friend who lived down the hall in my old dorm. That's the only thing we would play. We would go back and forth, trash talking, running eachother into walls, fun stuff like that.

I cant think of any one moment that sticks out: I remember times where we would be racing, we'd hit a jump, and I would land on top of his car, messing us both up. It was always fun to hit in mid-air and cause one of us to go head first into a post or something. I think the most fun was the start of the race, because that would be the only time where we were perfectly dead even, a lot of paint was traded there.

I remember when I found that when you jump, if you release the gas in mid air, and then hit the gas at the presice moment you hit the ground you would accelerate faster, I kept passing him up like 20mph faster and he could never figure it out... of course, I never gave up my secret...

Well, there are no secrets among true Driver fans.

Although I am surprised more people never found out about that little "speed burst" in Driver 2. Im not sure if it is a glitch in the physics engine or purposely put there, it comes quite in handy.

Just like, from a stand-still you have better excelleration doing a burn-out then not doing a burn out. Not specifically true in real life, but fun.

All stuff we learned in 2 player Driver games. Boy, I hope they bring something like that back eventually. Im real sick of games like Mario Kart being the only fun racing multiplayer games.

Burnout 2 is fun. Gets old after a while. Anyway I cna't think of anything but the well known strange things happening in Driver games, like cars flying miles into the air, etc.

There is the flying miles high above the buildings, but how about being smashed so hard by the cops your car melts through the walls and gets stuck on the INSIDE of the buildings? Then you cant get back out, and you get that wierd mirror "texture less" void beneith you and you can only drive around untill you find a hole in the ground and then fall forever. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.......

Thats always fun. Happened a lot in Driver 2 in Las Vegas I can remember. Happened alot in Driver 1 in Miami, youd get smashed outside the road and end up driving on the ocean.

Fun little glitches.

Setting: Dr1ver, New York City.

One of the corners on the bottom right of the map is glitchy. If you drive there and pull into the corner, your car will instantly be shot up into the air, with the shadow going down to the ground. There, you can drive over the building tops and do victory laps around the city, hitting the occasional hill and valley. I know this works with the PC vers., but I don't know about PSX.

i've actualy mastered my own glitch technices
example:in chicago of d2 where you drive up onto the highway
it looks like a butt if you get out of your car and walk imbetween it you can go out under the highway

I know that near the little town in Miami in Driver 1, if you go over the small bridge leaving the small town, and go down the street in front of you, when there is a cut out piece of building thingy, you can drive right through the wall into the middle of the building. (very handy when you are being chased by the cops.)

P.S. Its the first bridge, not the 2nd.

Once when I played D2, the same time as i exited my vehicle a cop started chasing me, so he countinued to chase the tanner character instead of the vehicle. (which I just exited)

The cop car drove right through me (no collision on people) turned around and drove through me again, again and again...
