Does anyone remember a ride at Great Americe in Chicago, an original ride when the park was owned by Marriott's. The ride was called Zforce and I seem to remember it was located where the iron wolf is now. Any way, do any parks have a similar ride or does antone have any photo's or recollections of this ride?

It's now the Flashback at Magic Mountain. Also, Six Flags had owned the park for about a year when the ride was added...it wasn't an original ride when Marriott owned the park.

You can get photos of this ride at www.rcdb.com ZForce/Flashback is a unique coaster... literally one of a kind. It is the prototype, and no others were ever made.

It was moved from SFGA to SFoG to SFMM, where it was renamed Flashback, and where it now stands.

Hi all,

I remember Z-force at SFoG. It was a pretty wicked ride for sure. A bit rough on the neck. I heard a kid fell out of it and was killed. Never really heard for sure though. All I know is the next year it was gone and Ninja was in its place.
So its operational at SFMM? Im gonna try to get out there some time this year.

No, he didn't fall out of it... the kid had epilepsy, no one knew about it, and he had a seizure while riding, and died from the seizure. It took a while to figure out why he died, which is why ZForce was shut down for most of that year. (Medical tests took a couple of months, apparently.)
