hey,
has anyone been to BGW yet?
i was looking to see if anyone could tell me what they think about it. i was also kinda wondering what was going to be all new about Imaginique, besides the fact that it's about 1 hr longer... di the re-add the original acts that they left out last year?

I'll be there within the week, but I won't be able to tell you about Imaginque... I've never seen the show, so I have no idea what's new or old. This is, of course, if I see it. What is it, exactly? Is it worth seeing?

It's a French show, it wasn't really worth it last year, but was the year it opened, the year before last. it changes yearly, but still, as far as i know, has a few of the same acts, like these 2 dudes who balance their way to the top of about 5 cans that roll under a board under their feet. then they balance theirselves ontop of stacked either boards or chairs on top of the same rolling board as before with only 1 rolling can. they also have a french lady singing in French, some gymnastics, and thes things that i can't tell if they're people who are really flexible, or animatronics. they also have these 2 'funny men' who r the warm-up, but u kinda got to see that for yourself to know what they're doing. overall, i'd say that this year is going to be like the first year, because it's back to original running time, as said a friend of mine who is a theatre tech there. But, if u really wanna do rides during show time, if the shows are open (i think they open on the 19th) u can probably ride some of them faster, because more people will be at imaginique. it's at that outdoor theater in France. well, i hope i didn't give away too much info. i just kinda wanted to know what was going to make it all new. i also wanted to know if an actual ride was going to be built in that new area, or will it be just another festhaus?

To my understanding, it's going to be a 'state of the art attraction.' My gut reaction is that it's either an indoor coaster similar in style to Space Mountain or Revenge of the Mummy, or it's some sort of interactive dark ride, such as Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion at PKD. From the size, I'm thinking an indoor coaster... realize that the only buildings larger than this new attraction building are the FestHall in the German section and ONE of their warehouses/offices. That's it... no other building even comes close.

Oh, and while I'm at it... I'm leaving tomorrow night, hopefully. The trip will take about 10 hours, so we're not hitting any parks until Wenesday at the earliest. I'll try and keep everyone posted.

ok... my reaction is it might be one of those sit-down laser tag dealies.

Well, we made it. We're in the tourist section of Williamsburg in a hotel. We're about to go get dinner, and maybe do something light. We made the trip in record time, getting here in 9 hours. (Past two trips took us 12 hours and 10 hours, respectively.)

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow, since I've never been to PKD. Again, if anyone wants to meet, post back here.

Wenesday, June 16th.

Paramount King's Dominion...
Total coasters: 12
Total time of visit: All freakin' day. :D

Thursday, June 17th.

Either Colonial Williamsburg, or PKD
Total time: All freakin' day.

Friday, June 18th.

Busch Gardens Wiliamsburg.
Total coaster: 4
Total Time: All freakin' day.
(9 am till 9 pm)

Saturday, June 19th.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
Total Coasters: 4
Total Time: Well, you can guess...
(9 am till 10 pm)

Sunday, June 20th.

Really, whatever the heck we feel like doing.

Monday, June 21st.

Heading back to Atlanta. Might stay over one more day, if we can afford to and are feeling up to it.

(Yes, Harpo, I'm poking some gentle fun at you.) :D

Seriously, the above list is what my wife and I are currently doing. We're staying in the Williamsburg tourist district. So, if anyone is interested in meeting... post back, and we'll email back and forth with the details.
