I'm going to make this very, very quick, as I am exhausted from a full day at BGW. (As I'm writing this, we're packing our things so that we can leave the hotel for Atlanta tomorrow.) I will give a more detailed report on both BGW and PKD either tomorrow or Tuesday.

First of all, it sounds like BGW will be adding 2 new coasters over the next two years. The one for 2005 will be a "3D virtual reality roller coaster similar to Space Mountain." 2006's new coaster will apparently be anchoring a new Country where Drachen Fire used to be. No idea what type of coaster, but a wooden one has long been rumored. They will also be adding in a new train station in this new country, both to make it easier to enter and leave it, and so that the trip from Italy to France is broken into two pieces.

Second quick note, then I'm off to bed. Imaginque is an all new show this year. No old elements were used. This is straight from the tech crews and leads of the show. (Just for you, RCT2head, I asked them to confirm this, and yes, it's completely new.)

A full report on my trip/vacation will be written sometime in the next two days, after I get back home. I'm planning on comparing both parks to each other, so that people planning on heading to East Virginia can get a feel for each park.

Thanks, Squid.
Well i've already done my VA. parks comparison, and I've found BGW overall better, simply because they take care and clean stuff at least weekly. (BGW currently has about 4 coasters)(PKD has about 10, if my memory is correct) I walked around PKD for a day and my foot was black at the end of the day (i'm a white guy)(not being racist).
All new, that really surprises me, because the show Imaginique has been running for about two to three years, and i find it's hard for them not to repeat stuff. but if you asked the techs, then it must be true. but if they took out the beginning that was kinda good compared to the rest of the show, then i guess i'll have some problems with the all new format. thanks, Squid

If a new coaster is going in where drachen fire used to be I hope it's a floorless. It would be a perfect compliment to Alpengeist and Apollo's Chariot. A floorless, hyper, and inverted coaster not a bad combo.

Squid, do you know when the ride due out next year will be open, on opening day or later in the year?

I'll be spending a week in the Williamsburg area next year in July and a trip to Busch Gardens will more than likely be incuded in the visit.

If I were you, I wouldn't goto those rides for awhile, unless they're opened with the park, and you can make a visit in the middle of the week in the opening month or so, unless you really feel like wasting half a day to ride a 2 minute ride. and I think a woody wouyld be good for BGW, as they don't have 1, and it would be awesome to have 1 to complement both parks, as BGT has a woody and some elements of BGW in it's park. that is if they had some more time, would probably theme them back to the jungle theme, if they haven't done that already. (Land of the Dragons, for starters) But, I think a woody wood be cool, as the closest 1 to me is at PKD, a 2 hour ride for a crappy park.

I've got no idea on an opening date, but I do know that the site construction has already begun. In fact, I have pictures. They're on the laptop, so if anyone wants them, I'll have to figure out a way to email them to you. The pics aren't that exciting, just shots of the general area through some trees... they show some small construction vehicles, (Backhoes, small bulldozers, scoopers, etc.,) and large piles of dirt. Much more than what would have been required to disassemble Wild Maus. While I'm thinking about it, the pics were also taken legally... in other words, I didn't hop a fence or anything stupid like that. Got a little creative in how I took them, but didn't break any laws or park regulations.

And, as I said, it's either a 3D virtual reality rollercoaster, supposedly something like the one Space Park Bremen has, or it's an interactive dark ride. Most people were saying the coaster, so that's what I'm going with.
