Here are the choices:

I'm surprised you didn't include Michigan in this sub-category. It seems it would have been a good fit, allowing the addition of Shivering Timbers. (Or, as I saw in one report, "Shiver Me Timbers." Close enough, I guess!)

IMO, I think The Legend at Holiday World should've been on the list instead of The Raven. I know The Raven was voted the #1 wooden coaster while The Legend was voted #5, but both my daughter and I thought The Legend was the better of the two.

why is this just the northernish central states?

are we going to do this for all regions of the US?

pnkfloyd, that's one vote for the legend at holiday world (write-ins are accepted!). Holy_reality, this voting just seems to be northernish-central states right now because not all of the voting has started. The steel coaster category is going to have at least 4 more preliminaries and the wooden one will have a few more too featuring coasters from other states. That's to narrow it down to the top coasters in the country for the final vote!

Why don't you have Ghostrider at KBF. It's the smoothest wooden coaster Ive ever been on in my life.http://www.knotts.com/park/tour/gtown/grfacts.shtml

This is only the FIRST prelim, we still have all the other regions left of the country to go. Read my post and you will see that this preliminary voting poll was limited to the Ohio/Indiana region.

wow... Ghostrider is extremely rough for me, but I always ride in the back, which, everyone should try at least a few times, with their lapbar up a good little bit.

well actually the first year we went on it it was pretty smooth, it seems to have gotten out of hand lately.......
