Since i am such a fan of old blackpool pleasure beach i have decided to make an rct3 version of it, this is no where near finished, i do know blackpool like the back of my hand put to complete it fully will need to give it another visit to remember all the other bits lol. Main things in the park i have built is, the big dipper, pepsi max, steeple chase, which took bloody ages cuz its 3 separate tracks, also included is the central pier amusement park and also the trams that run up and down the promemade, i have 3 entrances but the entrances at either end of the tram tracks are there just so people get on the trams to the park instead of walking for miles. Anyway i have posted some pictures of it, could someone let me know where to upload the save file to, thanx.
Here are some screenshots

Looks great so far I'm in the US, but seen many pics from that park which always interested me - this really does look like it from that side view. Looking forward to a visit when its done!

Hey
Awesome, Blackpool pleasure beach is my favourite park and cannot be beaten in my eyes! Your screenshots are beautiful and really show what blackpools all about however for true accuracy there are some glaring problems, such as the hills on the big one actually drop right to the floor for example but this isnt anything major, its RCT3 for christ sake, lol Awesome work there, looks as if my hard work on a BPB clone is gonna go out the window, I will finish mine but hey never hurts to have more than one!

yeah trying to get the pepsi max identical is quite tricky in rct3 for in real life its almost a verticle drop and sort of twists down slightly as well, unfortunatly rct3 wont allow me to do this on that type of rollercoaster unless i choose a verticle drop rollercoaster but then it would not look anything like the pepsi max then.

Hey
Yeah I know exactly what you mean hence why I tried not to make a big deal about it as you have captured blackpool as perfectly as you can in RCT3 its unbelievable!
Have you done valhalla, bling and Noahs Ark yet? Just wondering what methods your using for these?

First off, thanks for doing BPB - it's a great park.
I don't want to be too critical but looking at your screenshots I can see quite a few errors.
The Wild Mouse is not located next to the Big Dipper, it should be on the north side of the park. The Turnpike/Grand Prix is located where you have the Wild Mouse. Also, next to the Wild Mouse you should have the River Caves.
You should build the Grand National station closer to ground level, and build a small underground trench just before the lift hill so the path that passes over it is flat.
You can check out over 80 Blackpool Pleasure Beach photos (http://www.coastergrotto.com/pictures/blackpool-pleasure-beach-photos.jsp) here that may be able to help. Unfortunately there's none with the overall layout of the park, but the park map (http://www.coastergrotto.com/park_map.jsp?argId=36) might be able to help with that more.

Looks great and pretty accurate. You might want to adjust the backdrop however.
Speaking of beach parks, I'm doing a recreation of Wildwood, NJ Boardwalk and Amusement Piers in RCT3! It'll be quite awhile until it's finished, though. Yes, it'll have the Tram Cars (the open monorail with front nose) up and down the boardwalk. Also, Castle Dracula, a walk-through haunted castle and boat ride built in 1976 that burned down in 2002 I might include in my version. Or, I'll do a "past" version of Wildwood, and a "present/future" version to reflect the changes Wildwood went through in 25 years. The castle theming is perfect for my recreation of the late Castle Dracula, and the spooky theming including the DRACULA stunt. What replaced Castle Dracula and Dungeon boat ride in 2002 was the bungee trampoline like in RCT3, the one with the four trampolines. So, I could bulldoze my castle and plop down bungee trampolines in the "pit" where the castle was. There's a couple sites with past and present photos of Wildwood amusements and Castle Dracula.

thanx for the site with the pics coaster grotto should help alot, been searchin for pics but had no luck, i do have the map of blackpool, as well, complete acuracy in regarding posistions of certain rides is quite tricky because in real life alot of them sort of go diagonally where rct3 every thing is all in sort of blocks, the gradnational does start off lower, but will sort the bridge out, just plonked that in for refererance for now, i'll post down a top down view of the park so people can comment on correct locations of rides so i can move them about a bit.
Vallhalla is another sort of tricky one 2 because rct3 doesnt have the sort of theming the real life one has, i have done a water raft type ride inside a building, it wuold be soooo much easier if you could do tunnels through the ground in rct3 cuz then i could of built a mount type structure for vallhalla then for the real one looks like a rocky cliff type theme.

Iam working on a recreation of this awesome ride now and have overcome many scenery problems using fireworks. By using the advanced particle editor its possible to recreate the fire, mist, steam etc encountered on that ride, ice was done using glass and clever lighting tricks etc. Main problem I have is the building itself and the track layout, anyone know it fully?
Thanx

Hey
Lookin awesome but for more accuracy Ive found some MAJOR problems and some rather minor ones, for example the colours on steeplechase are the wrong way around and the loop on IrnBru goes the wrong way (goes towards avalanche) :)
Anyway take a peek at this.

Yeah that clown is funny for like 0.002 seconds then after that i want to put it at the bottom of the "pepsi max" drop.
[On topic] I really like the work you have done so far it all looks very nice!:)
Edit: Can we possible get a video of the "Pepsi Max" in action soon please?!?

I saw a few screens of your indoor water ride when you had just got the game. It looked fantastic mate.
Any chance of some more screens of the ride?

yeah i need to alter the steeple chase again, the problem is the bends, sometimes they work side by side sometimes they wont fit, also the steeple chase is a nightmare to keep up momentum without stopping, so i had to put a few extra hills in to keep the stupid horses going round the track. Vapour the section on the map where u circled whats this? thats the arcade bit with the dome in it, which has the flight simulator thingy in it, i had to put the rct3 3d cinema in there for the dome, i will try to make changes to the park, its just quite difficult because i am doing all from memory and a blackpool map which doesnt show the exact correct layout of all the tracks and also using some photos. i might post the beta version of the park so people can download it and make alterations as well. If you have built vallhalla vapour your more than welcome to use it on the park once i upload it, blackpool is turning out to be a bit of a mamoth task now on my own lol. BTW bawbag, i've uploaded the pepsi max video. Enjoy :)

Hey
From first glances things seem to be a tad out of place but the actual rides themselfs are lovely, especially amazed at the way you got the surrounding bits to the wild mouse! Grandnational is in the wrong position as there is Tremor Towers haunted walkthrough with high speed bowl ride at the end between them.
As Ive said before your doing an amazing job and now its onto the tweaking of the rides to get them all to fit in nice and snug as like the real thing, what ride will you be using for Bling?
Also might be worth noting that the whip, turtle chase and Vinkingar are being removed for the 2005 season ready for the new rocketcoaster in 2006 which BPB are hoping to smash all previous rocketcoaster attempts to pieces, lets hope so!

i know i need to relocate some of the rides, aaggrr its gonna be a nightmare cuz i'll need to rebuild all the buildings for the rides which takes AGES, the problem is i have done this whole level faaaar to left, because the land ends quite near the left of the grandnational, i knew i should of built the pepsi max first and started more the the right of the park, anyway vapour regarding bling i havnt seen that ride yet so don't have a clue what it looks like, and since you seem to be so good at the water rides and indoor ones, i think i'll leave it up to you to do them if you want, since i'm not much of a fan of indoor water rides, i think i have been on valhalla once so can't remember the layout inside. Will do a bit more tweaking then i'll upload the file. btw zordork, i can't upload the video to your site after it up oads it keeps saying this page can't be displayed and something about add the tag reallocate= somat

Hey
Thanks for the comments on the water/dark rides. If you like I dont mind having a stab at your park map to see what can be done. Personally if I was working on BPB I would of started working on Steeple chase as its one of the farthest rides to the ride of the park and then worked along putting the main pathways in. One of the biggest problems Ive just noticed in the screens and which isnt shown on the map is the park is on 2 levels! Remember the upwards ramp by Hotice? and the other by the River Caves (next to station of wild mouse). I will try and draw you a layout in paint with blocks to show where each ride is, youve got a good start there anyway. Ive also noticed a minor problem on the Grand National as there is a walkway over the track which cannot be placed as you dont have enough straight track, again should be a simple fix.
Anyway keep it up, if you want a video hosting e-mail to Mike@vapournet.com or MSN it to me on vapournetmike@hotmail.com and Ill sort hosting out for ya. Also wouldnt mind having a chat with you about the park.

i gave up trying to d/l that video. you should and get a better host. be wary of anything thats 'free'.
What I like about this park is that it has multiple dark rides, which is rare today with some parks removing dark rides. I am 31 from the USA and my hometown park Dorney Park once had dark rides but removed them all. Wildwood, NJ Amusement Piers was also a place with multiple dark rides/horror attractions, alot have been closed , burned down or removed over the years. I've never been to the UK but I've seen alot of the parks on websites. I have all the RCT games but only play 3 now.

Unfortunatly i have given up on this project, mainly down to work taking up most of my time. There are many mistakes in the park which i accidently overlooked as well, and quite frankly the amount of time it would take to shift everything perfectly into their real life location and positions would take far too much of my time. If anyone does want the rct file to work on then then please feel free to message me and i will send it to you.
