Battleship Glich

For some reason, when one of my battleships blows up a target, the target goes underground and is nearly impossible to blow up.
Does anybody know what the heck this is?

If the target sinks into the ground, that usually means that it is dead. Nothing in the game burrows.

I wish I had screenshot proof, but I blew up a flak cannon, it blew up nomally, but then I saw it's canonns sticking out of the ground. ???:weird:
