RCT3 Disneyland Resort - Park Release

I gave in. This is by no means a recreation. This is my own resort with my own ideas. I will be recreating the Disneyland Resort( In california). But I am doing this park as a warmup and will release it then start my recreation, but this, I am doing for fun. This resort when finished will have 2 theme parks, Disneyland and Disney Studios. 3 resort hotels, Disneyland Hotel, Wilderness lodge, and Disney's Beach resort. I might throw in a downtown disney if I feel up to it. I uploaded 9 screens of what little I have done so far. Here is my work in progress, Enjoy I will update when I can. Yes I am using a small map - 132-132 Sandbox for this and im doing this and putting it out for download as a warm-up once it is finished I will start my Recreation of the Disneyland Resort in California. That a side I have a update.

I have started to build my favorite Disney attraction " Splash Mountain". It is far from done but I want to show my progress and if anyone has anything they want to comment to make it better, that is very welcome. Splash mountain is porbably about 55% done. It is EXTREMELY hard to be accurate with splash mountain do to the the limitations of rct3. Also I made a new castle design. Im not sure if im keeping it, so I ask you what castle design do you like better?

Well the park is coming along great. I am almost done with Main Street U.S.A., and almost done with frontierland. I have started on fantasyland and also on the Disney Studios Park. This is not a recreation.... Disney studios park are located at Walt Disney World(Florida), and Disneyland Resort Paris. This being my own Disney resort I chose to build 2 theme parks, Disneyland, and Disney Studios.

No big update, I just added some screens of firework testing and the newly built Mickey & Friends Parking Structure and Tram.

opmdude: Umm It probably seems smaller casue im using a smaler scale to build the resort. Its being built in sandbox mode so the map is I think 132x132 or somewhere around that. So in other words space is limited for it.

could you place a list of all of the rides you are going to make along wth where their from? for example: Disneyland, California - Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain. DisneyWorld: blah, blah.
Disneyland Paris: blah, blah, and then everything else thats just in general like Sleeping Beauty's Castle and stuff

just so "we" know what the park is going to look like. (btw: ive only been to disneyland california so thats why i put "blah blah" ^ up there, i dont know any of the rides)

And no I am not making California Adventure park, The second park is a Disney Studios Park.

I hope to release it just before Christmas. That being I am able to finsh everything by then.

Disneyland Park: 66% done

Disney Studios Park: 10 % done

Downtown Disney: 50 % done

Hotels of the Resort - Disneyland Hotel: 100 % done - Disneys Wilderness Lodge - 10 % done - Disneys Beach Resort - 5% done.

Parkings Stucture 90 % done.

Ok, this will probably be the last update for this park. The Resort is coming along very nice, Disneyland Park is almost complete( about 85% mosly detailing is left). Disney Studios is about 55% done. The construction for the second hotel has started. Downtown Disney is about 90 % finished. So everything seems to be going smoothly and I dont want to over advertise everything so this will mostly likley be the last update. Look for a release on December 22, 2004. I love disney, it's my favorite park. I live in orlando, I got passes to Disneyworld...it's great.

Yes there are quite a few Disneyparks on this site, but the chances of being completed are maybe 50/50 but this isn't a thread to talk about the other parks its about Disneyaniac's original Disneyland Resort. I have run into some problems and it is not finshed yet. But if you want me to finish it you'll have to wait till after christmas. But I am giving an option. I will release the park as is if everybody wants that. Or if not , the park will be released some time after christmas. so the question is, release it as is or wait till it is 100 % finished?. the park right now is about 96% finished. I personally dont care eaither way. Soooo what do you guys think.

My #1 problem is LAG, the map is so full its lagging my comp and is making building slow. The things that need to be finished are some shops mostly.

Ok I have decided to release the park as is for christmas. I will release the final product for new years. If you do not want to see the park until it is 100 % finished then do not download it yet, wait for new years. Other wise, download, enjoy it and have a happy holiday's.

Amazing park! Great job - It's just a shame good parks like this cannot be enjoyed in RCT3 because of the apparent lag/FPS problem. None the less, very nice job!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Yes the lag is definently a damper on the game, I hope they can improve it through updates.

On a side note, for the disneyland railroad, add a station for tomorrowland and open it. ( Hint : And then enjoy a trip to the grand canyon and the prehistoric world ) o_O.

good job:up: although i was let down by the haunted mansion and backlot tour, because of how short they were but i guess the lag would be worse if they were longer.

now just a thought, when you do disneyland resort ca, leave out the hotels, downtown disney and californai adventure. just build disneyland, all by itself. Disneyland CA just by itself would look amazing in the detail that you do it, plus the lag wouldnt be as bad if you kept those things out.

Just a thought, although it's ultimately up to you obviously.:p What do you guys think?

When I do the recreation of the disneyland resort, im not going to use sandbox mode. So the map will be 256 x 256. So you wont need to worry about detail, or leaving things out or being to short. I will have plenty of room to make everything to scale and detailed and acurate.

Just want to follow up on what I said above. Yes I am going to do a recreation of the resort in california. I will still finish the park I just released. But I am very excited about this next project, I am detirmined to build the best recreation for the disney resort in california for rct3. I know it is going to be a huge project and im up to it. the park that was just released was like I said in the begining a "warm up" park for fun. It was my first rct3 park and I was exploring what you can do in the game. The only thing that is worries me about this project is the fact that the map is the biggest you can get 254x254, and im concerned about the lag issue. Hopefully updates will help the problem so it will be do-able. Ground work has already began for the project and expect news in the near future.
