I wanted post this poll to see which of the new ideas brought up are the best so far. Fixing the stability and connectivity problems are obviously the most important things, but I'm thinking more along the lines of content. I've identified what I think are the best and want to know what everyone else thinks. I voted for the naval HQ because it holds the most options!

The Naval HQ would be good, but obviously only for water based games. If Axis & Allies RTS holds true to the board game, then there should be complex water based battles, just as there are complex land based battles, with some middle ground where the two meet (battleships fire on ground forces, transports landing units, and aircraft leaving their carriers).

Quite honestly, I think they are all the topics listed are good ideas and should be incorporated into the next release / expansion.

I voted for the naval HQ. Although the expandable airfield was a close second ;) Naval units would be nice if we had more water maps...

None of the new features in the poll really matter until the AI is fixed to play at an acceptable level. If it can't play properly now, then how in the hell can it play well with any new features?

i think on the WW2 version, if u attack with a army that has air support and u r attacking a beach or island, then u get the carrier to represent the air units and battleships to represent the ground units. im not positive because i just got the game 3 hours ago.

That was a coin flip! I like both the Naval HQ idea and expandable air fields. I really think airfields should have NO bombing capability until expanded and able to take up a large tract of land. This will also make them big targets for area attacks. The airfield upgrades could be research or engineers working to build it up.

I voted for the Naval HQ because it's a total new addition to the game and would really change game play to allow some naval battles in skirmish mode. I felt it had more "value add" to the game overall. :)

The AI will be improved. It is an adaptive AI and players can even make changes to it. The AI is used in more than one game currently being supported by TimeGate and updates to it are going into both of these games.

Adding new units and structures improves replayability.

Hopefully the first game you played against the AI wasn't a walk in the park and new units would present new combinations and challenges even without a major re-write of the AI.

I got a good reply over on the Timegate boards regarding the implementation of a naval HQ in a patch or add-on. If you want feedback from the TG guys, the TG boards are your best bet. No word on the other items listed here...oh well.

I wondered why there were not subs or destroyers in the game. Also, I am kind of frustrated at how easy regular Infantry can destry a tank regiment. That is a bit unrealistic. The whole unit AI in the relm of battle needs improvement. Outside of these shortfalls, the game is really fun, and I can't wait for the patch.
